Has anyone tried the Daiwa 22 Zillion TW HD? the SV TW is super popular around here so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this newer reel thanks

Thank you everyone for your replies, I guess like any other brand there are good and bad experiences. I really like to try different gear and if you saw my rod locker you will understand what I mean. I never used this brand but the weight and sensitivity (references from other people) has always called my attention. I really wanted the HMH 6'9" it looks like a great option to skip frogs under trees.. they are not in stock unfortunately. I saw that hook up tackle promotion too, it looks great on paper... but just the same I will end up with a $200 gift card and I'm sure I would end up putting another $200 for a megabass rod and end up speeding $600+ on rods that I "don't need" (want sure!) I mean buying the Kistler is just to satisfy the monkey and honor the great American tradition of Black Friday. Man, the problem is that I have more MH rod that I can remember.... and that MB Barilist is brilliant (we are still on our honeymoon) I feel the same way, I would not pay full price for these rods. but on these heavy discounts I think is wort checking why so many people swear by them.

Hello everyone! I happen "by chance" to browse Kistler's website and it looks like a good deal is goin on for Helium rods. I been thinking on grabbing a few of them but is just too early in the black Friday season to spend this year's budget on the first promo that I see. I understand that Kistler is frequently on sale. is this real or just something I made myself up? I just don't want to spend my budget 2 weeks before BF and finding out that megabass is giving discounts for the first time ever. Also, if you have any comments on these rods please leave your impression on them... I'm buying just to satisfy the monkey so please help because the force is strong with him. thanks

I'm only loyal to Diet Coke, Marlboro and Modelo Especial. Everything else is up to the best option, there are so many good brands and gear to use that it it makes no sense to me being stuck with one brand. I usually buy combos because I want them not really because I need them so why always buy the same?? Also, I feel that in order to love something you need to use others to compare. I have no loyalty to them.. they are not loyal to me either anyway... of course If they paid me for fishing I've happy using Zebcos

I've seen a lot of love for the Zillion, I was going to purchase a Steez as a xmas present for myself but now I got second thoughts. would you consider de Zillion a better buy???

I think that most people understand that sponsorships are necessary for this and any other sports. For sure they are under a lot of pressure to push the products they represent as part of their job. I just don't think they represent me or many of the other guys on this site, we don't have unlimited funds or time for fishing, here we meet bank anglers, kayakers, boaters and that mix is what brings value (at lest for me) to bassresource I like answers from the guys here that spend their own money on their gear, if someone is getting free Lew's reels they will be for sure bias. there is nothing wrong with that but I'm not interested. If KVD tells me he wouldn't change his Lews reels for shimano Antres I would be press really hard to believe him. Note, I only know who KVD is because his named on this site.

Most people of a certain age will definitely rather pick up print media, however its now the minority. unfortunately for BASS and other magazines. The proportion of new people interested in the sport that will actually pick up a magazine is less every day, I'm sure their new subscription are decelerating at an alarming rate. They know they're dying. People now a days will prefer to watch a YouTube video by a random guy than actually seat down and read what a pro has to say, its visual and its free.

Thank you!, if its done before I can sure replicate it.. but is a real thing, once you get use to those knobs everything feels cheap and small.. I have been using Reel Grips Pro to give more body to my two Daiwa reels. I'm asking this because I'm thinking about getting a new one but I want to achieve that large knob feeling. Even my frog rod which uses a 13 Concept A2 has large knobs and feel "similar" and its much more conformable.

Yes Sr!!!! those knobs are amazing, and the brakes on the Steez work better for me than my Metanium's (maybe more expensive shimano reels are better than the steez, however I not allow myself to go higher than the Met) Edit: I have sometimes used my tatula elite on my Posion Adrena with jerkbaits.. fantastic combo.

Hello everyone, Has anyone installed Shimano extra large knobs on a Daiwa Steez?? love the reel but the nothing compares to Shimano US knobs.

+1 it's really is incredible that they are just loosing so much business with all of us going to Bixpy and others. I use this adapter, I just don't use the pole to steer and use the rudder in the kayak. that way I can keep all functionality and use pedals, motor or both when I need

lol. its terrible... after reading these post I found myself looking at glass rods... I don't even use that many crankbaits and when I do I use graphite moderate rods..

While I really don't care about professional fisherman (weekend anglers who pay for their own tackle are my heroes) I would like to hear their true opinion on the use of technology against years of experience and knowledge and how they will soon be replaced by kids playing videogames.
