Few holes in the blade and you got the closes to a cavitron I seen. It's a great looking buzzbait I really admire the dedication of you guys who make your own baits. The closest I get to it is browse trough tackle warehouse for more junk to buy.
  2. 4lb as a leader on my ultralight setup.. no complains but noting outstanding either.

Thank you everyone for your responses, I placed orders for: Damiki MTB Noisy Buzzbait. Accent ‘Jacob Wheeler’ buzzbait Boogerman Buzzbait Crock-O-Gator and toads I was planning on going for the top two, but you guys know how this works. I'm still thinking about the Jamaica Boa, I really like megabass stuff but they just seem big for waters around me and for sure will be picked up by pike right away. I'll get one next time in mexico. This has been a very interesting read. again thank you. Show them to us!!! ok yes you are bias.. I ordered one anyway I'm so dumb I didn't read you message correctly, I should have picked the finesse version as I bought the standard size
  4. I do the same!! this is supposed to be the year of the jig for me and so far it sucks.. spend good amount of money on different jigs and I think I got more jig fish on a single trip last year than this hole combined.

Interesting, didn't know megabass made buzzbaits. At first I thought you were joking.. were do get those names from!!! are the 1/2 very large?? these are very interesting, I like their stuff. Sr, profanity Always follows.
  8. Hello everyone, While the love for the Megastrike cavitron buzzbait in this forum is well documented, they are reported as out of stock everywhere (black of course). Lets just say you're in a buzzbait emergency and there are no Cavitrons with you. What would you pick? thank you everyone, I'm currently on a buzzbait emergency as a pike took the last one (one more reason to hate them!).
  9. I see nothing wrong with the price, different people have different pocket sizes.. I can agree that $6,000 is a lot of money for a kayak, but I think is worst when there is some people with a $100K bass boat and still don't own a home. A good pedal kayak is $2500 adding a torqeedo, wiring, adapters and if you are not handy labor to install will set you another $3000. Having it all in one from the start seems like a good price if you're really into kayak fishing.
  10. Same here, I have them both.. went for the largest frames on Costas and are not as comfortable or light as my Oakleys. Costa's lens are great but polarized prizm lens are amazing. I will not buy Costas again.

That's great news!! I'm really impress with the amount of thought you put into this.. I have never modified a bait in my life!!
  12. Great fish, congrats on the new PB. I think you did the right thing on eating it, I do the same with fish that don't make it even do all fish tastes gross. I guess I would develop a taste for fish if I could catch and eat 9lbs every week.
  13. To all of you disappointed with your jackhammers, I will gladly take them so you don't have to see them ever again.
  14. Been there, just step away from it completely. Find other things that motivate you and enjoy them. I was out of the sport for about 8 years and now I take it easy and enjoy it when I'm out.
  15. Once per week unless I get better plans or just decide I want to stay in bed.
  16. Make a real change and go for a Daiwa. (not a fanboy I'm a 60/40 Shimano-Daiwa user)
  17. Poison Adrena M+ you have all your based covered so just buy it and enjoy.
  18. My advice is. 1. Don't take it too seriously 2. Don't get obsessed with a brand (reels, rods or baits) they do not sponsor you or care about. Try everything. 3. Don't wake up to early. 4. Always have a beer when available I have kept the bad advice to myself as it may be against site rules. Also, 5. Wear a PFD, don't be part of the statistic. 6. Wear Sunscreen (yes, it is manly)
  19. You'll be fine there with unlimited budget too
  20. The 6'11"+ is a great rod, very sensitive and the extra power is great for T-rig senkos. If you are already willing wo pay 280 for an Expride, what's another $100 bucks..??. ?
  21. Awesome! I'm sure I'll find a great one.
  22. Its your birthday and deserve the best...go for Poison Adrena.
  23. I'm sorry but is there a problem with him to rely on feel to detect bites?? I thought it was great for kids to develop that feel detection at an early age rather than depending on their eyes. I'm teaching my kid to fish and I teach her only to feel bites and identify rocks, brush or fish.. I check her line visually in case she misses a bite but other than that is all feel. Sure using all senses is the way to go but always thought developing feel should come first.
  24. hate to admit it but that bait is good.. also decent colors. wait, should I worry??
