  1. I would hold any major credit purchases for the following months. Like cars, price will start going down as retailers need the sales to survive but right now it too soon for them to sell to you at a lost. People are not buying with the current interest rate. In a few months they must move their inventory to survive even at a lost (that they will just write off) and prices will reflect this. In theory of course.
  2. Awesome! you don't need to cancel now.
  3. I got a tier system for cost. Bottom contact $400 max limit (nice round number) Moving baits $270 Max (max limit set by the price of an Expride for their quality/price ratio) Frog rods $150 Max (no need for much) Like many state here I do not have the experience to judge reel seats or guides. I found that that these price ranges I get quality components.
  4. I need this, current container is huge but waterproof.
  5. I'm stickbait colorblind Senko #297
  6. I don't know this kayak specifically, however I would look for a sit on top kayak even if I had to pay a little extra and lose the fish finder. Kayaks are awesome but not really useful if you are not comfortable in them for a long period of time. You will just end hating kayak fishing.
  7. when I fish down in Mexico lizards are my favorite t-rig plastics, up here in Michigan I haven't used them once. I do understand that the fact that there aren't many lizards around here shouldn't matter as I use other plastics that don't resemble anything and still catch them. It just feels wrong!
  8. That I caught a bunch of fish and didn't have to wake up before 8:00am a single day... Best season ever...
  9. Go for it!!! cut them, paint them and replace parts.. they are just baits that may get lost in a brush pile anyway. Keep one original and one with the mods, that way you can compare and report your findings here.
  10. Glad you like them! since you like spinnerbaits so much and have so much experience with them I didn't know if you were going to like them. I took a chance with my go-to spinnerbaits. (original plan was to send 26 Walmart bottom shelf $0.99 spinnerbaits but that would require me to go to the post office so no, thought that would be funny!) I still need to take pictures of my loot, I got really good stuff in mine and many things I have never tried before. I will post later today.
  11. Heey thanks!! I was hoping it would arrive exactly on xmas morning so I wouldn't have wander what it was!!! Thank you very much!!!!
  12. While I do think that smallmouth bass fight is much more fun, I use different tackle to catch them and makes the comparison difficult sometimes. I usually go after smallmouth on lighter tackle than largemouth and that makes the fish feel stronger. I also think that the bass in Mexico put bigger fight, closer to Northern strain bass we find here in MI.
  13. Order placed! I wonder how it was easier to buy xmas present for someone I never personally meet than for my wife.
  14. Yay! I'm in!!!! I swear I read the list!!! maybe my heart was so broken that I couldn't read all the way to the end..
  15. I guess it will have to be my feelings because the FG knot is awesome and as stated in this forum (by people with meaningful comments) its a fact.
  16. I read the rules and sent the PM.. all I can think of now is that my posts are not meaningful enough.
  17. Great deal!!
  18. I DM you my information but still not on the list, will there be a new updated list post?
  19. I just can't find any benefit of switching to LH retrieve (the engineer in my sees the movement waste operation on the rod switching hands but the capital investment in all new gear to LH retrieve does not justify the 2 seconds it takes to switch hands) . I also feel that while right arm is physically stronger, muscle memory is much stronger in the LH. You can teach your left arm to do any operation no matter the complexity. if you play guitar (or any other instrument) you will get the idea. Last year I started using spinning gear and I do retrieve it with my left hand. it is fantastic to balance workload between both arms trough the day, so another point for RH retrieve baitcasters.
  20. My tip is to take it fishing as often as possible.
  21. Thank you everyone for their reply, at the end I went for the SV. I'm really covered on my heavier duty reels so I may have to move some reels around to put in in my main line up.
  22. This is great information.. I'm thinking about using this reel to upgrade my chatterbait rod.. I need to look into this more before my purchase. Which one do you think is better to work on my skipping skills? thank you
  23. Great, I got to be hones the main feature I want is the larger handle and knobs.. that for me is a really important feature as I love shimano oversize knobs.. the SV looks really nice but I'm all over function over form.
