  3. Thanks FC, If I can catch half as many DD's over the next 10 years, i'll be happy!
  4. If it's all expenses paid, sure why not!
  5. Looking for a 20 year old to adopt? I'm ready for adoption! ;D
  6. Yea, huh?? Took ya long enough!!! : ;D Congrats man, you earned it. So,...a 9 and a 12, early in the season,....we may have a new Trophy Hunter in the making..... Haha, I doubt that, but thank you Russ. Hopefully next time you're out here you'll get a 15lb cali bass ;D

Use the robo worm purple 4 inch worms. They're great for split shot and drop shot.
  8. Swimbaits
  9. Sounds like you need some better swimbaits. There are many guys on here that catch a LOT of fish and a lot of BIG fish on them.
  10. Best for the price. The Citica. $90 right now.
  11. Thanks guys. I was supposed to study all day for a test tomorrow, it's 3pm, still haven't touched the books. Can't get my mind off of fishing.
  12. Curado is a GREAT real, but it's not a $200 reel, well it shouldn't be! I have one, and LOVE IT, but it's not that much better then the Citica which was sold for $80 less. It sure wasn't worth $80 more ;D
  13. I'm the most indecisive person ever, and I can't pull the trigger on the flippin stick. There's 4 options. I did pick the Revo STX, the Zillion had only 8.8lbs of drag, big fish + tons of weeds around it, would make it too tough to bring in (or so i think) 1. Powell 765 (MH 7'6) Says MH but for anyone that's held one, it's STIFF. 2. Powell 766 (H 7'6) 3. Dobyns 765 4. Dobyns 766 First I have to pick on Powell or Dobyns, not any easy choice! I have 2 dobyns, 0 powell. Do I try something new, or go with what I already have? Then comes the 765 or 766. Both felt very stiff. I'm going to be fishing this rod in weeds, and in the worst stuff I can find. BUT, I'm also going to use it in open water for jigs and frogs. Has anyone looked at both the 765 and 766 and picked one over the other? If so, I'd like to hear what you picked and why?
  14. Where is this rebate at? I just looked on their site didn't see anything. I think i'm going to be getting a STX or Premier, does the rebate work for these or just the S?
  15. Thank you, and thank you to everyone else. Considering I've only been at this for a year now, I hope it only gets better. In the past week alone I broke my 7lb 2oz personal best 4 times. I'm pretty proud of that alone ;D I feel as though I can finally relax, but then at the same time, I want to get back out there! Man, it never ends :
  16. Yah yah! I already know your opinion ! Wanna upgrade my drag for free like you do? If so, I'll go grab a zillion. I think my hands are too small and girly for a zillion to be honest. The I want something that resembles the 100 size shimano reels! Why don't the Daiwa JDM reels come in HS?!
  17. Getting a new flippin stick for jigs and frogs. Can't pull the trigger on the reel. Revo STX HS 7:1 Daiwa Zillion HS 7:1 Or Revo Premier I'd go with the premier in a heartbeat if it was HS , but it's not. The revos are smaller then the zillion from what I hear, which is a plus as i love the 100 size shimano reels. any other reels i should consider?
  18. 12lbs 6oz - Need to get a real camera, no more cell phone pictures.
  19. Any 7'6 flipping stick shouldn't have a problem handling up to 2oz. Just depends how much you want to spend.
  20. Although it hurts me to see it, there's nothing wrong with keeping bass or any fish for that matter as long as it's within the law. BUT, big fish should always be let go, you never know which fish will set the next world record. Fish during spawning time should be let go, let the small males guard the beds, and let the females lay the eggs. Don't take more then you can eat. Here in California, it suggests eating only ONE bass per MONTH.
  21. If you want to throw some smaller swimbaits, keep it. If you have no plan on throwing anything big, sell it and make a pretty penny.
  22. Not too bad man! The wind has been tough every where in NorCal lately.. Goodluck at Oroville!
  23. I just got a pontoon the other day, and let me tell you, I love it more then I love fishing from a boat. 1. No trolling motor to deal with, I can stay positioned with just my feet and flippers in the water. 2. You make less noise. 3. Feel more at peace on the water. You get a GREAT work out. To get from place A to place B you use the oars. To only travel short distances, maybe along a tully wall that you're fishing, or just moving 20-30 yards slowly while fishing, you can use your feet. Legs and arms get a work out. Toons over kayaks - you can take a trolling motor easily, you can easily disassemble to fit somewhere, you can carry more gear, you can stand if you wish, easier to bring fish in, less likely to tip over, can use your feet to stay in place and fish with BOTH HANDS.
  24. Some guys deck their toons out with everything, as pictured above. I have the same pontoon you have but the special edition one kind of thing, just a few added things but not many. My pontoon is meant to have a trolling motor and all that junk, but to be honest, I don't bring the trolling motor. I like not having a rod holder, I like not having a fish finder or trolling motor. More stealthy, less weight , easier to maneuver, and much less hassle of dealing with stuff. Try going out with just 3-4 rods and nothing but the toon. You'll have a blast. Use the front two pockets to put your rods in, slide them reel first into the pocket and they won't move. That way your rods aren't standing up, screwing with your casting, or at risk of falling, they're out of the way. Tooning is tons of fun, just get good waders and flippers.
