  1. Just wait until you catch a fish, and the line breaks ;D The Fluoroclear is very limp, and very easy to cast, but breaks VERY easily. Pline is awesome, try the fluorocarbon. I use 6lb on spinning and 15lb on casting, stuff is incredible and least memory of any fluoro I've used.
  2. If I gill hooked a bass, and it was bleeding, knowing it was going to die, and after trying to get it to swim away.
  3. Looks like Russ found a new style! Looking goooooood!
  4. Prodigy's are great reels in the sub $100 range, but you just can't beat the Citica going at $90 after rebate right now. Citica is the king.
  5. I like the curado better, but the Citica is a very good reel, best for the price when it was at $120, now that' it's at $90 it's a steal.
  6. February 10th (Last time out). I've been out 12 times in 08, only one of those trips didn't produce a fish over 3lbs.
  7. Paddle Tail Swimbaits (Basstrix and the others) Huddleston Shad Mattlures Baby Bass (Like Rw said, it's 1.3oz but casts fine on a 1oz rated)
  8. 20 and 25lb P-Line CXX , so d**n strong!
  9. They're worth the money, if you have the money to pay for them. There's no rod, for cheaper that is the same. There are some rods that are a bit cheaper, that are good for sure, but they still don't compete with loomis. I've never owned a GL2 or GL3, but many guys will say, there's other rods for that price range that are just as good, but once you get to the IMX then GLX, it's all good 8-)
  10. Nice job four! good to see you stick a solid fish.
  11. Man, I thought I was gonna see Robert with Brittney Spears this time, instead just Raul!
  12. I think the orange looks great! You guys are crazy!
  13. With that kinda money, might as well go get a porta boat or something. I got my pontoon for $400 comes with the wheel and all. Haven't taken it out, I'm waiting on my waders to come in the mail. I'll let you know how it goes. Just stand on the seat, no need for paying $400 extra for a casting deck, or build one like I said. For $800 you have other options, a good, none leaking jon boat, it all depends on the water you're fishing, how accessible a trailer is tot he water, or is a pontoon the best way. Gotta make that decision, as I did.
  14. Hahahaha, that's a crazy picture if that's real. I'd be so d**n scared!
  15. From what it sounds like, he wants a rod/reel for $50 all together. $25 rod $25 reel. Just not possible. As everyone else said, save up, and get something nicer. Raul made a great point.
  16. Ok, where do I sign up?! Man oh man, I'd love a day with more then 10 fish.
  17. I heard about all that on the news today. 50+ people have died and saw the mess that was made. Good thing you guys are safe.
  18. David P replied to KevO's topic in Fishing Tackle
I like to use a Mojo drop shot weight in 1/4oz. If it's very windy I use up to a 1/2oz. I use Cuda or Pline Cx line in 6 or 8lb. ROBOWORMS! 4 and 6" robo worms work GREAT for drop shotting. Great action.
  19. Jeezus, I didn't know they were in so many waters here. My local reservoir has a serious problem with them now, they check all boats, motors, and everything before they can be put into the water.
  20. Even in bulk, that's a ton of hooks! Are those going on the baits you're making?
  21. After reading this, I realize how fast I really fish. I always thought I fished pretty slow, but I never pause for 10 seconds, let alone 30 seconds. I'll surely be trying this.
  22. I am VERY comfortable with both spinning tackle and baitcasting equipment. I have a Strong preference for spinning gear fishing soft plastics and my baitcaster for jigs! 8-) Same here, although big plastics, 10" worms and such, I like to throw on a BC. Anything over 3/8oz BC, anything under spinning, is pretty much how I do it.
  23. Easy decision: Shimano Curado 100, Hands down.
