Cold but a great day on Kentucky Lake
Sounds like an awesome day, a 22lb striper alone would make one hell of a day.

Sunline shooter guys
I'm thinking about trying it in the 7lb test for my spinning set up. I'm fishing 1/8oz and up to 3/16oz on this setup and really want little memory and strong enough to pull in some big fish. Is it worth it? How is the memory on a spinning set up in 7 or 8lb line? Thank you.

It's about time!
You're coming just in time. From what I'm hearing, the bite is picking up everywhere.

It's about time!
Haha, when I used to work a job in a retail store, I got that literally at least once a week, and now I only get it about once a month or so.

It's about time!
The place I catch some of these fish is a highly pressured, small reservoir with a very tough bass bite. Past few months, some guys have been reading and looking at pictures / reports of mine apparently on another forum, and then using it to catch and keep limits of bass in the small reservoir. I'd hate to see the one body of water that's less then 1 hr drive from me, keep getting ruined, so I'm taking extra precautions.

january so far
Dang, jigs really are the greatest! That's the only thing my partner and I have been catching our 2-4lb fish on the past week or two. No bites on anything else but a jig.

Good Jig rod?
If jig fishing is your go to bait, and what you fish the most, it's worth while to get a good rod. I fish jigs ALL the time, and I got a GLoomis MBR844C GLX, you can find them for around $250-$300, retail they're $350. You could get the IMX which can be found for $150-$200 used. You get a great warranty, and a great rod.

And so it begins!
That a 7" culprit or 10" ?

I help me decide on a toon!- updated
I too have been looking at several pontoons. Jerbs has helped me a bunch! I had decided on this one, but they're $500 at Cabelas and $400 at walmart, but wal mart is sold out. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?dest=9999999997&product_id=5446611&sourceid=1500000000000003260410 I might get the Backwater 9 Water skeeter now .

Fishing Glove Recommendations?
The ones on the bottom don't do much of anything. I have them, and they didn't make my hands warmer at all. To be honest, it felt like my hands were colder, and in more pain when inside the gloves. Get a pair of wool gloves with the flap such as the ones you posted in the first link. Or get wool gloves that have the fingers tips cut off. Better to freeze just the tips then your entire hands. I cut the finger tips off of only my thumb and pointer finger, as that's all I use when I fish, so my other 6 fingers stay warm.

Pontoon Boat
Jerbs is an awesome dude. He helped convince me to get a pontoon.

Anyone on the CA delta?
Good to see another sniffer on here as well. There's a few guys other then the ones that posted that fish the delta as well, but not many main stream posters.

Are they legit?
I see curados for $150 most places. Not that great, just average. I'd assume they're legit. I wish they had a better rod selection.

ALLS TARS AT CABELAS
I really don't like you right now muddy. I had just gotten in the state of mind in which I didn't need any more rods or reels, and I was satisfied with the ones I had. Now, after seeing this thread, I'm a click away from ordering the 6'6 M worm rod and a Citica 100D. If I can hold out until tomorrow, I'd be amazed.

ALLS TARS AT CABELAS
So what's so good about these ASR's. They look hot, but has anyone used one? For $90 , I'm about to click buy. They look like rods that usually cost $200.

Setting the hook worm fishing
Man, LBH what action/power is that rod you were fishing with in the video. Every fish you hooked I thought you had a monster!

I need a custom rod, where do I find them?
Dang, Russ, when you coming to California again, so I can steal that rod? Thing is a beauty, I like the seat. Guys, if you're looking for a greatly priced custom rod, try G-Blanks. $150 shipped I believe it is, and he makes them QUICK. Took him a week to have a custom made rod at my door. Not to mention, quality is GREAT. It gets the same amount of use, if not more, as my GLX rod.

Check Out Cabela's Answer To The Cumara
I was looking at these rods today. They're nothing like the Cumara, they're quite similar to the Lami rods that have been posted, which I was thinking about getting a little while ago.
