what would you call this water clarity? PICS!!!
X2...Only in spring during run off for about a month or two is the water possibly that color... Usually up the creeks etc. Most of the time you can see 5+ feet deep. On the rivers its about 15+ feet in summer... Makes great for sight fishing structure. Colors as Glenn noted.

HOW WOULD YOU FISH THIS. PICS!!!!
Early Morning/Evening: Zara Spook, Buzzbait, jitterbug or plastic frog. Day: weightless wacky rigged senko, 7-10" worm and toss it in the weeds or around the structure, jig & chunk. Don't have to stick with this schedule because all these baits will produce and time of day.

Flats Bassin'
Here is a quick rendition of where I would be fishing the flats in comparable to other areas. There is a deep area close bye 10-20ft. The lite blue areas are the flats usually with channels. I always fish the channels first when going up into a flater area 5-10ft. The stumps are structure rocks etc. (i didn't want to get too intricate ). The green is cover or weeds. Elaborate if you would like.

Culvert Fishing
I fish a couple culverts for largemouth and almost always I pull a 2-4 lb out of em. I have noticed though that they are just full of baitfish, primarily crappie. There is lots of structure around with an old bridge and a train bridge. I have always fished jigs and 7" worms and pull good numbers almost every time I fish them, with a 6lb last year. I had one break off after about a 10 minute fight I swear ran 8+ and I know there are pigs in this area. Would it maybe a good idea to fish a 8-12" crappie swimbait through here? I've never really used big swibaits like this but I am trying to expand my horizons on catching that "ONE".

Dam Water Flow and Reading Tables
Great thanks for the help...

Dam Water Flow and Reading Tables
So pretty much all through spring when the water is rising, be on the water...gotcha. When the dam is more open in the summer, like lets say after a good couple days of rain, will the bite be better than normal... Generally Speaking? Its really cool learning this kinda stuff because it totally makes sense when looking back on past years. Thanks for the input RW.

Dam Water Flow and Reading Tables
So I've never really paid any attention to the water flow of our dam on the river. After reading many posts about members that fish regulated waters I would like to get some insight on opinions about water flow and best times to fish when the dam is flowing. So after looking at the water supply forecast they start raising the water in March. This year the Core dropped the lake two feet under what is usually dropped. They are projecting a two-three week delay in what is comparated to last year in raising the lake. The final raise should be finished around middle of May with the most water also being released at this same time. I'm totally new to actually paying attention to the water flow so if I could get some help I would very much appreciate it. I kind of know what to do when I "see and feel" more flow than one day but a little more insight on how fish react to the flow and possibly helping me read the dams readings and projections on water release would help me be a better fisherman.

Check out who's comming to KY Lake in April...
I have a countdown running at work I also haven't heard from anyone indefinitely yet about hitching a ride to the lake from airport. I am a planner and would like to make sure everything is scheduled before I leave the airport. I know its early but the earlier the better...

Fishing edicate.
I sold real estate for two years out off college and one great thing I learned, atleast in idaho, real property can sometimes be owned underneath the water. Not the water itself, but the land associated under the water, usually running with the high water mark which can usually be found through contacting a Title Company. In Idaho home records are public so you can do a search whom owns the property and you can do a look up to see where people own. If it is within your community I would just consult your HOA or your neighbors and see if it would be ok... If you are wondering about ponds etc you don't know the owners this way might also help.

Fishing edicate.
Never assume water is public untill you know. I never fish any water untill I know for sure it is public water, we have too many crazies that might come up on ya with a shotgun and tell ya your trespassing. Ask first... is my rule of thumb

need some advice about ice fishing for bass
Well I don't fish for bass on the ice just because we can't get out to the deeper areas. I'm stuck with perch, whitefish and trout. By just guessing, I would fish the same lures just as from a boat in winter conditions. I would try a jig and pig/chunk combination, fat Ika, a S. Carolina rigged worm, shaky head worm or try a S. Carolina rigged suspending crank. Just have to remember to fish very slow with slight twitches.

Clear Water, 14 ft Deep, Nice weeds, opinions???
I would also try some 6-9" lizards or a 10" worm... also might try an in-line spinner it will help keep those weeds off when your burning through it. I would also try a gambler Cane Toad. works great for buzzing across surface and the cane toad you can rig weedless.

#1 Technique
I know this is number one but this is what I will usually end up throwing 80% of the time Largemouth: 4-6"senko on football head jig or 1/8-1/4 oz bullet head, 7-10" shaky rigged & jig/pig Smallmouth: 3-4" tubes, 4-7" fluke, 4" senko
