I went to an expo once and the best part was bumping into this dude who was just there as a consumer. Me and my buddy ended up talking to him for at least 20 minutes just standing there by the empty chairs because there was no seminar. Dude pulled out a notebook and shared some deep understanding about reading water and retrieve angles and some other golden nuggets. Found a good deal on a couple packs of tubes. Some KILLER deals on fly tying materials. And found some good people to talk to once in my life, weird how that happens huh? But mostly its just to hang out with my friend and feel connected to fishing again during the 5 months we can't fish due to the cold or hardness of the water.

It palms better than the 21 zil? zillion? If i get one of these previous gen zils I won't feel the same and new is better in this line? Okay, got me reel curious now, I feel like I have large medium hands and depending on the reel and reel seat it may or may not be comfortable to put 3 fingers in front of the trigger. Also intriguing, i think I'd like to have a Daiwa i can comfortably add a longish leader to

@NWfishing if I spent 25 bucks on that I might be calling KVD with some choice words If they didnt try to sneak some crappie stuff on there of wouldn't feel so crappy, even a few more sample packs of real baits would make it feel so much better

@Chris Catignani is a good dude @MontanaBasser I started building rods just a couple years ago, the kit will also come with the added assurance of fitment. No guessing or forgetting to order a piece or whatever, its all there and is confirmed to go together. Maybe you could save a few bucks piecing it together yourself, but I was burned doing that even being advised by the retail associate putting my order together. They messed up and recommended the wrong butt cap. I think it was half and half, might've been a little French vanilla cream and milk. Was like a white chocolate peanut butter cup, absolutely delicious.

Idk about the CPxtra, but permagloss requires extreme ventilation. 2 part epoxy should have some ventilation, but permagloss is on a whole notha level with its toxicity Just wanted to put that out there since I had been suggested to use it but never warned a few years back. I, like you, dont have a background in chemical or mechanical anything. Safety is often not mentioned in these discussions, I think people take for granted that they already know and assume it goes without saying when they tell you to just use XYZ or melt plastisol in a microwave without knowing you plan to do it in your basement that has no windows.

Why is this the case? @bulldog1935 so whats the difference between zillion 1016, 1514, 1516, 1520? Is there a Zillion that's DEFINITELY worth getting and one that I should definitely AVOID (or just plain isn't worth what people ask for it)?
