  1. @casts_by_fly looks like you did good bro, couple little thumpers right there
  2. "Here's your bill. Oh no way to pay it? I can help with that, please hold... here's your bill and new account. The late fee? Well, because you didn't pay your bill. The processing fee? Oh? That's because you had customer service submit payment. The 4% charge? That's fits using your credit card." And the investment firm owns a portion of the delivery company, a portion of the credit card company, a portion of the credit card processing company, the product you purchased (yes, even from japan;), and now they own your data which they will also profit from. The American dream baby
  3. I feel better not being the only one who took the bait How'd you go from getting a rod to not getting a rod and getting two reels instead? Also, what're your plans for the tat80s?
  4. Look sweet bro! What about one of the 25 year old rustys?
  5. I can't see the lumps. Where do you add the lumps? I might give it a try with some steel putty @casts_by_fly could you share some side by sides with the class?
  6. I just wanted to see what a smaller reel felt like, plus i only have 7or 8 speed reels, this will be my only 6 speed and I'm been curious. Maybe it'll be my lilypadswimbait reel, or if the capacity works with 30# braid and it launches as well as it seems it will it'll be my bladed jig reel.
  7. I fish this more than my zillions I know, I know, crazy... but true
  8. You got me bro I fell for It Copped the lefty even though I have absolutely no need for another reel at all @all (who has the tat80) What should I do with this? I'm thinking 30#braid for launching chatterbaits? Spinnerbaits? This site has some killer deals... https://stores.sheltonsclothing.com/6-packs-strike-king-5-75-rage-swimmer-swimbaits-blue-bug-brand-new-free-shipping/ https://stores.sheltonsclothing.com/jackall-gigantarel-8-floating-5-4oz-jointed-swimbaits/ https://stores.sheltonsclothing.com/6-spools-daiwa-x8-j-braid-chartreuse-braided-line-closeout/ Lot more, I suggest looking around a bit Thank you for bringing this up You owe me $105 I'll hold the bait monkey accountable for the rest
  9. Has much less to do with the color choice and much more to do with them coping with this drastic visibility change. If that's an accurate description of the visibility these fish are in a deep funk. If the fish had been able to see 20 ft and were willing to move 10ft to strike top water, they might only be willing to move one foot right now. Drop in the water column a bit and throw some thump, big bladed jig or spinnerbait or a lipless
  10. That's because its more expensive to design and properly manufacture. I stand by my advice to you to stop buying budget rods, sell 3 or 4 that you have, and buy something that will suit your needs and be worth the investment. You don't need to drop hundreds of dollars for this, but you can catch a sale and stay around 100 bucks or so. And enjoy your fishing trips much more. Why go cheap and stay frustrated?
  11. Making sure they have it and the delay in the set requires less attention with a more moderate rod, its just part of the system. Also, the problem might be less to do with your hook set and ability to time it right, many fish are lost on the fight because the system is too rigid and yanks on the hook. A more moderate rod gives when a bass pulls and doesn't shock the hook out of its mouth.
  12. Dam that's an old boat, make sure you kick the tires and offer half asking
  13. I mean you might as well look into some general ecosystem upkeep 😁 What did they all hit?
  14. I'm relegated to the bank presently, might have to get my act together with an underspin to really get out past the weeds. What are you putting on the underspin? If you wanna catch the bass that thinks it's a Chuck that buzz, of my top 10 bass 6 were from the buzz. I'm only applying pressure because knowing where you fish I think this will show you what's really lurking below you
  15. What's your technique to tie a flared skirt that negates the need for a trailer?
  16. This is unacceptable! Remember when you started throwing that underspin and fell in love with it... Your next early morning launch or sunset cast commit to the buzzbait for a time. Make sure you took your heart medicine when you do
  17. @bulldog1935 what's your advice in this situation?
  18. I like a grub or half a stick worm, I'm mostly just trying to add something for the bass to slurp in on a reaction strike https://youtu.be/NXWvwZQisGI?si=BBrT2f4CkQTVS2_Y
  19. From the kayak or the bank in need either convenience or multipurpose. Boomerang is very convenient and definitely works. Had a pair for a few years perfectly until they got dull. I grabbed these the beginning of the season and they cut limp braid easily, plus they're multipurpose as a strong enough pliers to untreble my bass. And convenient coming with a belt holster and lanyard.
  20. I have only used a couple times, but they tore up so quickly (not even fighting fish) I never bothered with them again Their triple tail or whatever its called is pretty dense, I havent spent much time with it but seems sturdier than the super fluke but fishes a bit different because of its own weight. Why are you looking for alternatives?
  21. @casts_by_fly here's the Amazon link if you're interested https://a.co/d/gvfIzgc I think I'm going to pass as tempted as I was... I dont fish enough and I'm often relegated to the bank so long casts on braid are frequently necessary, plus I got a bunch of YZH the beginning of this season and will still have tons for next season Along with my YZH I also have a bunch of 12# BG - think that'll still fit the bill for most of those lures? And I do have a Dobyns fury 795 for my swimbaits/wakebaits, plus i plan to build an NFC Xray c602 806 for my 1-3oz and keep the fury for my 3-5oz.
