boater safety course certification
@MediumMouthBass if you have the skill required to do something you have to have the knowledge/ answered memorized. You can have the knowledge but, not the skill is what I think you’re trying to say.

boater safety course certification
That’s because it’s exactly how we are taught. Memorize this or that. You want your surgeon to memorize how to preform surgeries and the protocol if something goes wrong. The answers are the knowledge. problem solving is knowledge and experimenting.

boater safety course certification
Life jackets, kill switches and common sense are what save lives. Accidents will always happen even to the safest. I agree it will lower insurance costs to run the event. these guys are doing it for a paycheck. People do even more stupid stuff when money is on the line. I’ve hit rocks and logs in the river going 25-30mph. I couldn’t imagine doing something at 60-70mph in a boat.

Bass Replica Mounts & Restorations
LAX reproductions is the gold standard for musky replicas. I know they do other species as well.

boater safety course certification
Honestly most of this may only affect anyone about 40 and older. The rick clunns Ike’s and guys like that would be the guys needing it.

Struggling to land this particular bass
Set the hook like you want to break your rod. Let the drag do the rest.

trolling for kokanee with two people in a 14 foot boat safely.
Why not make him run it on a down rod? If you have baits tuned right and the hardest digging in the inside no reason they will get tangled. if it’s my boat if someone doesn’t want to do something I tell them unless unsafe they can pee on a rope and watch it rust on the bank.

Fishing from a jet boat in Florida
Would taking off your jet bowl and putting a lower unit on exceed the max HP rating on your capacity plate? That would be your cheapest alternative if you can go that way.

Rindercella…😂
Anyone can tell a dirty joke and it’s funny. I think it’s extremely hard to take something wholesome and turn it into constant laughs through the whole sketch. This is a talent that has been lost. Do not get me wrong I am no prude and by no means on a high ground. I am as rude and crude as they come. I just can’t help but, be in awe of the pure talent that is shown here.

Fishing from a jet boat in Florida
@Catt I saw a guy have one of those on the susky. He mainly used it for duck hunting in Delaware in the bogs. Said it def wasn’t the right motor for the rock of the river here but was king of marsh’s.

Fishing from a jet boat in Florida
@Catt grass would be annoying with a jet. Sand would be the silent killer. Arent tunnel hull props popular?

Fishing from a jet boat in Florida
I think sucking sand would wear out the impeller liner very quickly too. @Catt may have some info on souther fishing and what boat/motor would be best. I think he is in Louisiana but, some things may cross over.

How to use the Ned Rig
I can tell you that in PA the ned rig is by far not my best producer. In river systems it’s much more productive for me. This year the ned rig has not been doing as well in the river for me. which is very rare. I’ve done all kinds of stupid things with Ned rigs and got bit. I’m a firm believer if it is catching you fish you aren’t doing it wrong just not how it was intended.

What's your landing ratio?
@T-Billy musky are just escape artists. Those toothy scoundrels can get away or off anything.
-
What's your landing ratio?
@ol'crickety I am a firm believer good fishing mechanics will land more fish than good gear.

What's your landing ratio?
I would say most days I’m between 60 and 90% I do not deal with reeds but deal with strong current. I’ve learned how to fight fish in the current. Drags set good and when to let them run when to dig and get them in the boat are feel. No matter what bait I am using. Ned, crank, top water, drop shot I set the hook as hard as I can. Coming from the musky world it’s just what I do. You thought about using a high speed reel? This way you can manage slack line better keeping the line tight and the rod bent. Line tight, rod bent then the drag needs to work. I adjust drag as needed during fights. another idea. Focus on what your equipment is doing. Sure it’s great to see the bass Juno run etc. watch your rod tip, watch your slack line. How much is your rod bent. All keys to landing fish. Also being sitting down in a canoe fight the fish with more a side angle. Don’t fight the fish like you see it on tv rod tip high. Keep it to the aide and lower to the water. You musky fished. You know to keep the rod low to neutral only going high if need be. I have no doubt you are a much better angler than me. I’m sure you know all of this. Sometimes we just need someone to point out something. also most time I lose a fish is a smaller one I never think got a hook in it or fish that go airborne.

Post a photo a day!
It’s the simple things in life. Every morning before work I sit down in the floor with river to give him rubs.

Fluoro Leader Length?
I run 5-7’ leaders. My leader line is heavier than my main line for the abuse it takes on the rocks in the river. My leader takes a ton of abuse

Questions About Hot Weather Hoodies
I wear Columbia ones and love them. I have tried cheaper brands and they are def hotter than a t shirt. Colombia do not really feel like you are wearing much and I do not feel any hotter than wearing a t shirt.

Sharrow prop on a trolling motor?
It wouldn’t be weedles and one hard hit I’d say it’s done. If you go with metal that’s to expensive for the beating those TM takes.
