  1. Just another day on the susky https://www.pennlive.com/news/2024/01/what-killed-hundreds-of-fish-in-the-susquehanna-river.html?outputType=amp
  2. John Gustafson or Max Goldman
  3. Their shipping times have improved greatly. Mine shipped same day! You can’t ask for much more than that shipping wise. I figured with everyone trying to take advantage of this offer their shipping times would be slow.
  4. People were ice fishing here. My wife asked if i was going to go. I said no way is that ice safe enough. Now it’s raining and I should have the boat out this weekend
  5. Awesome boat! You did your home work on it. Congrats on 4th overall. The first scratch and dent is always the hardest to get over. I tell almost everyone looking to buy their first boat that the one they are looking at right now is probably not the one that will do what they want later. (20hp prop I thought I’d never use to a 60/40 jet than switched to a center console jet) You getting to fish out of other boats got to experience and figure out what you wanted. You did exactly that.
  6. I can’t say I do anything different because I don’t really ever do anything right? I hope that makes sense
  7. @TnRiver46 my dog got a rabbit and played with it and pranced around like he was king of the world
  8. im Setting the bar low. 2# smallie
  9. I second @TnRiver46 however they are usually spots hit very hard. If you have a run of fish it is a great time as well.
  10. I just wanted to confirm I ordered the tranx from reading this post and it DID come down in the conformation email. TW said as advertised than in my opinion.
  11. I have never trolled for bass but, I have caught bass trolling for musky. Anyone who thinks trolling is easy or mindless has never done it correctly. It’s mentally exhausting. I ran a 4 rod spread no planer boards. Two down and two out. Knowing exactly what speed to run these baits how much line to get out where to put them in the spread has an insane amount of thought. Than are you targeting structure or bait? To completely different ways to troll. I want my baits at pretty close to an exact depth. No just mindlessly dragging baits.
  12. Doesn’t look like shimano tranxs are on this either. There goes my hopes and dreams.
  13. 135 WS 18 V ER70S6 92% Argon 8% CO2. .125 material
  14. @Tackleholiche went complete happy Gilmore. Their biggest hiccup about the whole thing was the American flag on the light pole. That according to him was what got him in real trouble. Was it a good look for him? No but, it turned him around. It was almost 20 years ago and now he’s in the hall of fame. Just below KVD and bill dance he’s probably one of the best known.
  15. @Craig P I fish blue marsh because it’s 32 minutes from pulling out of the boat launch to backed into my garage. I usually on fish it for a quick trip or if the river is at an unsafe level. nock is about 1.5 hours from me. I went there when I had my old boat before I put the jet on that. Sadly a 20hp jet is a paper weight. 60/40s get you on plan and run decent. It just feels like it takes forever to get on plane. My 115/80 jet is slow but, it two boat lengths gets on plane which is crucial
  16. You guys would cringe out how I spool my stuff.
  17. @Craig P the bummer is I’d have to treat nock like an electric lake. I wish they would have mph restrictions not HP ones.
  18. By all means anyone who can afford this stuff go get it. It’s neat to see in person at the ramp than just seeing it on tv. No one should feel pressured to have to have it. I think that’s where a lot of people get in trouble.
  19. You can never go wrong with a Ned rig for smallies. Summer, winter or apocalypse.
  20. @T-Billy other than raystown and wallenpaulpack everything is small till you get west of raystown. Blue marsh is 1200 acres with unlimited rating but, it’s seriously a 2 minute run at 30mph through the wake area and a half hour no wake area. The guys I see with the expensive bass boats are 45 plus males who fish leagues every week and travel within 3 hours to fish tournaments. After that it’s TRACKERS. Jon boats, old 16’ tillers, older smoker crafts. You see a lot of G3 like mine on the river. They fill a great niche. the biggest thing people need to look for in a boat is can it do what you want it to do safety. I’m also sure when you’re a first time boat owner once you have this boat a few years you’ll see what you really want in a boat vs what you think you want. A brand new boat should out last you properly taken care of. No matter what brand. Quite frankly I see a lot of miss treated and “junk boats” that have probably never been taken care of still going.
  21. @volzfan59 they might be offering them with lower budget electronics. it would be interesting to compare what exactly is making that change
  22. Dual income no kids and I do not fit the 100k bass boat budget. We do well but not that well. With a 100k boat you’re going to have a 70-100k tow vehicle. If I put 100k into anything it’s a different house.
  23. On the aluminum deck talk. I would think a welded in aluminum deck would make the boat flex less than a wood deck. This would make the boat feel stiffer.
