  1. Those BKK hook boxes don't play nice with soft plastics. Be careful tossing them anywhere they might come in contact.
  2. Copper State 25% off Dobyns, Phenix, Yamamoto, BBB, Bill Lewis, Buckeye, Roboworm, Bucca. No code, through Sunday.
  3. No. Beyond fitment issues, not sure if the spools are actually the same diameter/width etc, the brake systems are not cross compatible. MGL uses centrifugal brakes with a physical brake race in the palm side plate. BFS is magnetic brake, without the magnets in the palm side plate there is no braking.
  4. @Smirak there's a SW 80 but I don't think the fresh water is available yet. They're in the 2026 megabass lucky box which was on sale at the hookup for about 90 seconds before they got cleaned out. In their Sunday video the mentioned march-may official release.
  5. I like to be aware of the latest and greatest but I'm not buying unless it fills a specific need that isn't already covered.
  6. Megabass Karashi 80, tough to find a pic since they technically don't exist yet. The original Karashi is a ton of fun to fish but not the most accessible since you really need a BFS rig to run it properly. Really looking forward to a full size version that can be thrown on regular casting gear, and hooks that don't explode when you look at them funny.
  7. full grip cork is my preference but a split grip doesn't bother me.
  8. @10,000 lakes Bassin in the stx-38 #5 is going to be a fraction bigger than the stock hook, #6 just a fraction smaller.
  9. @Brycecover I think they actually dropped the price of the zodias line by $10 but also got rid of the SiC tip guide.
  10. Some highlights; New Calcutta conquest DC Conquest BFS limited New scorpion DC Redesign of the zodias rods https://fish.shimano.com/ja-JP/product/new_product/2026ss.html
  11. @Big Hands I haven't tried 5 but I have been running 6lb j fluoro on my primary BFS rig all year and it has been really impressive. Abrasion resistance crushed 6lb invizx and I have pulled some chunky BFS bass out of heavy grass/slop and it held.
  12. The Shimano DC reels have been around for 20+ years now. I've personally never seen a single report of the brake module failing.
  13. Aldebaran MGL with a full load of 12lb fluoro+line clip 145.6 grams. I suspect the BFS is right there but I don't want to pull it off its rod. I suspect the Alde MGL/Expride 610M or Alde BFS/Dobyns SUF701 are my lightest combos by a mile.
  14. Light t rig baby brush hog junebug
  15. Frog, punch, big spook rods get braid, I run a short leader of 20lb big game on the spook. All other casters are fluoro or copoly, just depends if I want to fish top water with them. Braid to leader for spinning always.
  16. Drop shot 6" robo worm black grape. Finesse swimbait 1/16oz crappie head with a 2.5 mayor. Don't think any 2025 bass topped 5lb but I had some 4s
  17. Savage gear prop walker. Can be either a pencil popper or prop bait, although in my experience the little tabs break eventually and it just becomes a prop bait.
  18. Flashy swimmer 90% of the time. If I'm using an exposed hook jighead usually an old blade runner spintrix, dirty jigs underspin, or cool baits down under.
  19. @HawkeyeSmallie the hookup and copper State both in Arizona so no sales tax. Copper State also doing 20% off gift cards at the moment
  20. Braid to leader at the moment but I also have the 77H both have bantam MGLs, 77 currently spooled with straight fluoro and the reels get swapped from time to time.
  21. Sure, I have a 6" trick shad tied on mine at the moment. I haven't used it for spooks or traps but I think it would handle them fine. Don't really get a chance to throw deep diving cranks from the bank much but that would probably be the rod I grabbed to try it from my current arsenal.
  22. Picked up the hookup tackle custom color chad shads plus a free $20 gift card to be spent at a later date.
  23. Copper state tackle 20% off no code
  24. Megabass super Z1, that lbo weight transfer is no joke they cast like bullets.
