In my neck of the woods most golfers also fish salt or fresh or both. The guys I play golf with mostly Largemouth Bass fish. One is an excellent angler. My handicap is 16 and I use the senior tees. Only about 55 percent of golfers consistently break 100. Only 26 percent golfers break 90. 10 to 20 percent of golfers break 80. I believe it's about 8 percent. In my state, one can fish around or even under private docks is legal and allowed in public waters. Now, public waters is the rub. If the dock is in private or exclusive waters such as a private community of homes on a lake, can't fish it if that neighbor says no. You did the right thing. No upside to confrontation. Just bought a Bass Pro Crappie Maxx Pro 6' rod with light action and will pair it with an old spin cast reel I've never used: Johnson Century 200BG 25 IPT on 6 and 8 # mono on it. Will use Rebel Critter Lures, Beetle and Cajun Spins and Bobby Garland's soft plastics like the Baby Shad in ponds and small lakes. Not a true BFS setup -- that later. Good Fishing
