Years ago, I bought the KastKing Perigee II casting rod 7ft. 3 pc. medium and medium heavy tips when KastKing was in its infancy. My take short and sweet: for sixty dollars it's a workhorse that is sensitive and strong that can used for light saltwater, too. Most of my fishing with it is with T Rigs. Good Fishing.

Have used on the neighborhood ponds in the morning using the 1/4oz. Panther Martin Willow Strike, 3/16oz. Blue Fox Shallow Spinner and Mepps Aglia Plain Gold and Silver blades #2 1/6oz. 6 and 8lb mono on med. lite and medium 6'6" spinning with Shimano Solstace spinning reel. All good for shallow (skinny water) presentations. Good Fishing

Had my eyes examined yesterday from my eye doc. Said the cataracts are still there and relatively small and my vision still very good. Adjusted my lens with new glasses. Flint Creek Reservoir. Grade C. State is now giving the fishermen surveys at the entrance to fill out on the bass, bluegill and crappie. State of Mississippi is taking steps to improve the fishing. It's a beautiful lake of about 13 miles of shoreline or 650 acres in a wild setting with campers and tourists with motorhomes and nice bass boats. Gets fished a lot. Park my car right there in the shade and fish this riprap and several points in the lake getting there by my car. This is my main big water fishery. Fish other smaller options, too. Cliff Pace, Petal, Ms., 2013 Bassmaster Classic winner once called the lake his home lake. Good Fishing

I fish 6 and 8lbs mono Big Game and BPS Excel in heavily pressured waters on my spinning rods medium light and medium with Penn and Daiwa reels. Concur with others who use 12lbs mono Big Game and BPS Excel and will sometimes go to 10lb test in super clear water that is pressured on bait casters. Good Fishing

The Largemouth Bass who resides in the Gulf Coasts marshes with brackish water are in some ways a different fish than their kin in reservoirs. And even within the marshes there can be differences. Louisiana marsh bass found in marshes in Slidell and North Pontchartrain can reach 6lbs. 3lbs in Mississippi most of the time. Salinity amount is the key and the lack of abundant Redfish.
