Line Knots in Braid
Wind knot are created by line twist, swivel reduces twisting. Micro guides would be a problem with micro swivels, knots can be an issue with micro guides under 4.5mm! Tom

When to switch from a chunk to a trailer with more action
Your idea if action isn’t the same as a bass! I have been fishing pork “chunks” with no “action” for over 6 decades and bass eat them year around. Sometimes life like movements triggers more strikes then faster moving appendages. Example a Senko! Tom

When to switch from a chunk to a trailer with more action
The “chunk” is a copy of the #11 pork frog that was nose hooked like all pork jig trailers. Tom

When to switch from a chunk to a trailer with more action
Soft plastic ( #11 frog) chunk glides better with more tail movements flat side down. Also nose hook the chunk. If you want to save them put a wooden tooth pick through the chunk nose sideways trim and hook behind the tooth pick. Tom

When to switch from a chunk to a trailer with more action
When water gets over 75 degrees. Tom PS, hook the chunk flat side down.

Successful spawn or something to be concerned about?
Pond management questions suggest Bob Lusk to answer. Over populated LMB over the carrying capacity is a problem that I can’t determine. Catch and keep the skinny bass and return the fat healthy fish. Tom

Successful spawn or something to be concerned about?
Definitely not stunted My guess is you are catching males guarding beds Tom

Is flourocarbon worth the headache?
When the air is dry the line dries and springs off the reel spool. Fluorocarbon isn’t hygroscopic like Nylon is and needs a coating like KVD or Tangle Free to stay wet eliminating spring off the spool during a cast. Tom

Is flourocarbon worth the headache?
Most bass anglers use line that us 2X to 3X the strength of the weight the bass they catch. I would say 15 lb test on average. Knot strength isn’t an issue if your line is 200% stronger then the fish weight. When the fish weight us equal or greater then the line strength then knot and abrasion strength is very important. When the humidity is low line memory and staying wet is important. Both these factors impact my line choices. Tom

what do I need to buy to fix a single broken rod guide?
Watch a video on replacing rod guides or building a rod. You don’t glue the guide on! Tom

New Video! How to Find Your Next Fishing Hot Spot
Rocks are not cover😎, another informative video from the man👍. Don’t forget to listen for fish activity a “splash” and keep your eyes open for fish in the water. Study maps was essential back in the day and still is! Satellite over head view shows stuff on the water like weed beds, trees, docks etc. Check the water level at the time the satellite passed vs the time you plan to fish. Tom

Time for a serious tackle cull.
I used the BR Flea Market to sell most of fishing tackle in 2020 after my passed away. Separate lures into groups so the shipping cost is reasonable at bargain prices. Rods are more difficult to ship unless you kept the shipping tubes. You will be making BR members happy and I felt good about sharing my stuff to anglers I knew would enjoy the tackle. Tom

Daiwa Tatula 100 versus Daiwa Tatula Elite?

Smallmouth vs Spotted bass
Spotted Bay bass is salt water fish not a fresh water Spotted Bass. The edge for me is Smallies are aerial jumpers and Spots are not. Tom

New Video! 6 Lures For Catching Spawning Bass
👍the only suggestion is a 3” drop shot 1/8 oz rig with pearl white 2 1/2” grub works. My #1 is a white jig Glenn pointed out. Timing is everything with hook sets, you are going missing a lot! Tom PS, caught my 1st bed bass on a Senko a few days ago 6.2 lbs, she ignored everything else. She was hanging in the bed area not on the bed.

Line Knots in Braid
There is a big difference between “micro swivels” the size 14/9 lb test is .24” long a tiny swivel used by fly fishers and doesn’t damage rod tip guides. I understand your concern and braid knot to leader is the best choice, doesn’t eliminate wind knots. Tom
