i agree with trevor, after thanksgiving during the xmas shopping season. no time to fish then.

I might be in if I get all my work done and not forced to come into the office! sounds like it'll be fun...and wet... Bring the rain coats!

Had some decent luck fishing last weekend too. Buddy and I went fishing at a big farm pond and caught a few with the two biggest being 3.5 lbs. and one close to 5lbs. All fish were caught within 10 ft of shore, with the biggest smashing a senko is slop 2ft from shore . Seems like fishing this weekend in the rain might not be a bad idea! ;D

Nice fish Ron. Water looks really muddy. Were the fish relating close to shore? I've found that to be the case more often than not when the water gets that murky.

There's a lot of pressure when i go there! They just don't fish the same style as I do. I plan on going back before winter so let me know how you do! Ron, thanks! She put up a really good fight. I caught her right off a submerged tree that this one family had been fishing for awhile but decided to move on when they go nothing. They watched me pull that beast in! ;D

What do you mean no public launch? I thought there is one at the rental place. My friend went there a few weeks ago on a kayak and didn't do too well because it was really murky (the day after a big rain storm) but there are some good bass in there. I fished there for a short period of time over the summer and was able to pull up a few, with this one being the biggest Lots of overhangs so I believe skipping lures under those overhangs might be productive.

I'm probably going to be too pooped from work to make the drive up to chantilly today. thanks for the invite though! I've had some pretty good luck fishin IN rain so the weather usually doesn't keep me from fishing. Good luck to you on the rez, I suck there.

Ernie and a fly rod is no joke! If he can handle bluefish and their teeth, i'm sure snakeheads shouldn't be a problem. Let me know when you guys decide to go out. I'm very interested in it. I've wanted to for awhlie but lack the courage to take my kayak on bodies of water I'm not familiar with or with large boats present.

Dick's sporting goods is right off of I66. You could give them a try since it's known that they have worms.

MAIDEN VOYAGE! I've always wanted to fish for Snakeheads! I personally think they're beautiful fish (I'm a big keeper of monster fish in the aquarium) and would love to see one in real life. I recognize that they don't belong in the potomac yet and that the DGIF asks us to kill them, so if I do catch one, it's life must end there :-/ Ron, are you fishing braid? How are the teeth on non-braided lines?
