  1. It would depend on what application you are using the rod for....
  2. The Yankees aren't playing so it doesn't matter.
  3. I have the 7'3 MH fast carrot stix. I use it for worms and jigs, but it also did a great job throwing frogs in the slop.
  4. I bought a cardiff 300 from an ebay store, I took the side plate off to put line on it and it broke. So I took it to BPS, told them I ordered from their website and they gave me a new one. With no proof at all and No questions asked. They are great people to deal with.
  5. One other thing, The 200DHSV is a burner reel and it's better used for throwing worms, jigs, spinnerbaits, and traps. Your arm will be ready to fall off after a long day of throwing crankbaits with that reel.
  6. He actually lived down the road from me here in Franklin TN, but they foreclosed on his house. Guess his Lambo payment was more important. He would drive it to Nashville, park it outside a strip club running with doors open and dare people to try to steal it. What an idiot, I'm glad he's gone.
  7. You need DVDFabHD Decrypter first to crack the DVD, then shrink it, then burn it with Nero 6. I've got a pirated full version of Nero 6 from a friend, but he got it off of azureus. *Also try www.dvdidol.com, for free software*
  8. Well, you could come down for the Bassresource trip to Kentucky lake its in the spring. Or you could try your luck at Dale Hollow for some big smallies. Both lakes are on the TN/KY border.
  9. I have one, but I can not get it to walk (glide) like it should. I have used it on a 7'0 M/F and a 7'0 MH/MF crankbait rod. Also tried swivels and tying it directly to the line. Nothing gives it the action it is supposed to have. I can walk a sammy perfectly with the crankbait rod, but not the subwalk. It ticks me off too, because it looks like such a sweet bait. Sorry if I am hijacking the thread, but what am I doing wrong?

Greg Oden may be the next Shaq if he can stay healthy. But, come on, basketball is tied with hockey as the most boring sport on TV.
  12. They are the best you can buy under $10. Bluegill is my color of choice right now, but the silver/black works great too.
  13. Well maybe they can turn it around. until they do Ill be fishing instead of going to Neyland Stadium Ha, they don't even play the games on TV in Nashville right now. So I will be fishing as well. At least we have the Titans and Vandy to cheer for.

    Nice fish
  15. I have been looking at 300/400 series calcuttas and cardiffs, they all seem to have ratios between 5.0:1 and 5.8:1. So I would say you will be ok.
  16. I bought a symetre FI on clearance at Dick's for $49.99. You should try that or academy had them for about the same price.
  17. I am not a swimbaiter by any means, but I was told you want a reel that can handle about 200yds of 17-20lb line.

LOL. I would have but I was trying to get rid of the old beer in my fridge.
  19. Rapala DT series. Maybe because they helped me catch my PB today, but they have also caught a ton of other fish for me too. I also like the Strike King Pro Model crankbaits, they are pretty good for $4.

Got off work early today and decided to go to my secret spot with the guy I work with. It was overcast and calling for rain so I had to go. We get to the spot around 11 a.m. and I make a few cast from the bank and stick a nice 3.75lb LMB on a DT4 rapala. Then we get in the boat and head across the lake to fish the flooded timber. Ten minutes later here comes the rain, but we fish anyway. I cast toward a laydown and bring my rapala out about 10ft from the shore and I feel some weight, so I set the hook.... FISH ON!!! She didn't feel like a big fish the whole fight to the boat. No jumping, she didn't strip any drag, just kinda drug her to the boat. Then I finally see her at the boat and she heads straight for the trolling motor. I get her away from the motor, next to the boat and one hook pops loose. It's now or never so I swoop down and lip her, get her in the boat and the digi reads 8lb even. What a day, shortly after that a thunderstorm rolled in and we left. BTW I smoked my buddy 3 fish to 0. Here's the pic, sorry its not that great but the camera phone is all I had. http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff351/bassakwards_08/8LB.jpg
  22. No it's a bot that types the same questions 50 different ways every five minutes BTW I think they are all great!
