  1. I am going up to Idaho later in this month to visit my Grandparents in Clark Fork. They live on the Clark fork river, and their is small mouth in there. I have never fished for smallmouth before, and would like to know what lures to stock up on. Thanks!
  2. Nice! I haven't been on a good jig bite in awhile. Love it though when they are nailing them.
  3. Really? Can you fill me in on what I need? This seems some awesome to build your own rods. Being able to customize it the way you want is important to me. I like making things my own.
  4. I am loving the green of the blank. I want to learn how to build rods so bad, but seems like a lot of money to get all the tools.
  5. Thats awesome. Whats the specs?
  6. My dropshot setup is a Powell 702 MLEF, Triline 100% Flouro 8lb, Shimano Sedona 1500 reel, size 4 mosquito hooks, and on most days a 3/16 oz mojo weight.
  7. I like the feeling of wondering if I am going to get the bass in or not with dropshotting, but the swimbait bite is just sooooooooo awesome. They just wanna yank the rod out of your hands. And every fish, you are thinkin a double digit.
  8. Catching a big bass on a large swimbait, or some finesse technique like dropshotting?
  9. Meh, they will NEVER be the same. Stopped listening to their new stuff since St.Anger came out. Lamb of God=
  10. Now that is awesome! I've always have had a fascination with Dinosaurs. Start digging, you might find the rest of the body.
  11. With that angle it looks huge, but it is still a great fish. Congrats. Jigs will always be big fish catchers.
  12. Can't say the color, its my little secret, but I use the 6 inch straight tail roboworms.
  13. no, its clearly 14lbs 6oz. LOL. dsaavedra, its a inside joke. You wouldn't know what brokeju is talking about.
  14. I love my Powell 765 and Revo SC combo. Works great for all my flippin, and froggin. Also use it as a light swimbait rod.
  15. I own a scale now. That fish though was maybe the hardest fighting bass I've caught. I had a nice battle with it for what seemed like forever. Thought I hooked onto a big catfish, so I was bummed out, and then I saw her come up and headshake, and the fight was back on. To top that, I was using 12lb Berkley Vanish! The weakest line ever, haha.
  16. I sure didn't. I finally got the pic of my biggest bass to be caught dropshotting. I didn't have a scale then, so no weight. I caught all my big bass when I didn't own a scale, go figure. What do you guys think she weighed?
  17. I remove my reels, and spray my rods off with the hose, spray some simple green on them, and spray again, then dry. And my reels, every 2 or so outings I take apart my reels and lube them. Gotta have your gear looking good, and working properly.
  18. I have one Powell and love it . Selling my other rods to switch to them. I bought mine for 200, and now flipping sticks are only 170, so its a even better deal. Great warranty too.
  19. *** accepts paypal.
  20. Then why do you ram a hook into their mouth, pull them to the surface, suffocate them, take pictures of them while they're suffocating, then put them back and hope that they don't die from any complications from the fight? ;D Sorry, just thought that was funny. Hopefully, it is taken as an attempt at humor. Hey, at least I am not catching them, and letting them suffer on a stringer or in a cooler.
  21. Myself, I wouldnt be able to eat a largemouth. I guess I appreciate them that much.
  22. Official PB: Okuma XH 7'11" with Shimano Cardiff 400 Unofficial PB: Powell 765 with Shimano Citica
  23. I currently use a Powell 765 with a Revo SX for all my froggin needs. I should be using a 7:1, but I got a 6:4 instead. Since I use that rod for more applications.
  24. I was expecting it to be better, but it seems that all sport movies never seem to get it right. Always have something that makes it cheesy. I loved the fake bass. I want to get one of those. It would be hilarious to trick people.

Rattltraps, senkos, spoons, and spinnerbaits. I have caught bass and trout on those.
