I'm in! Sounds like fun!

Best Frog
I would have to say Snag Proof - Bobby's Perfect Frog. I also like the Reaction Innovations Swamp Donkey, but I have had a problem with the weights falling out. So, I just decided to stay with the Perfect Frog.

Powell Rods?
Go to Powell's website, they should have a dealer locator.

Powell Rods?
I got a couple Powells and love them. They are great rods, especially now with the lower pricing. I recently traded my 765 in for a new one and they now have the hook holder on the split grip. I liked it better on above the reel seat, but I will get used to it.

My Dawg
You've been catching them with one hook like that?

Swimbait rod and reels
A Okuma 7'11" XH is a great rod. I own one and love it. It handles all my big baits flawlessly. I have it paired with a Cardiff 400, but I plan on upgrading to a Luna or Calcutta. Skip on the tru-tungsten, and the lucky craft supreme. Pick up a couple Hudddlestons 8" in ROF 5 and 12. If you want a Mattlures, wait for his hard bluegill to come out, it looks AWESOME! Punkers are nice to have too. BTW, did Big Bait Posse inspire you to start swimbaiting? I noticed your user name.

Citica D and Curado D
Just save and buy a couple Citica E's. They are GREAT reels for the price. A very solid reel. They are around 100 on ebay. If you are really that broke, I have bought Citica D's on ebay for around 50-60 dollars. The 100 size is not bulky at all. I find the more aggressive body style like Revos or the new Citica E's, are more comfortable to me. But I have big hands, so you may like the more smooth designs. IDK though. Its best to go to your local tackle shop and try out all the reels they got. Bring your rod to test it out on your rod too.

Cool. I can't stop laughing at what your cover is called. T-Bag, lmao. I know, I am immature. ;D

reaction strike swimbaits-are they that bad
Swimbaits are not something you really wanna skimp on. Good swimbaits are priced high for a reason. Reaction Strike claims to have not copied any ones baits, but clearly they have. My buddy bought the Bass Candy off ebay for a deal he couldnt pass up. Well, the first cast with it the tail came off. It might seem like a great deal, but its not.

big bait rod help
Okumas are you best bet. They make a 7'6", but I HIGHLY recommend the 7'11". It provides so much more leverage to toss big baits. I have tossed punkers on my Okuma 7'11" XH and it works awesome.

Got my first boat!
Its a 1988 Boston Whaler Striper 17' with a Johnson GT100. It used to be my uncles, but he passed away sometime ago, but now I have it. I got a couple of questions. The trolling motor that is on it now is a Minnkota 36lb. Will this push me fine in windless situations? I eventually want to get a updated trolling motor with more thrust, but this is what I got right now. How do I know what length shaft to get also? Would it be safe to make the standing decks longer to be more like a modern bass boat? I also would like to add more storage too. I will get pics tomorrow.

spiderwire g-string vs p-line cxx for swimbaits ???
why the braid for your bbz shad ??? Because I toss it on my flippin stick and I am too lazy to change out my line. Works great. Bill Simental uses braid for the floater too.

spiderwire g-string vs p-line cxx for swimbaits ???
Stay with CXX. I have never broke off a fish, or a snag with 25lb. I use braid for my bbz shad floater, but thats about it.

Swimbait Setup???
does that line have alot of memory ? it just seemed wiry and stiff but my tackle store guy says to use it cause it has terrific strength for swim bait fishing . do you use it as a long leader tied to braid as your main line ? your feedback is appreciated btw , have you used ANDE mono for swimbait applications ?? It has memory, but I change out my line every couple outings, so my line doesn't get used a long time. I don't use braid for my swimbait setup. I like having the stretch of mono. You can also use Triline Big Game. Its super cheap and you get a ton of it at walmart. You have to get a round baitcasting reel if you want to toss the big swimbaits. Low profile reels don't have a ton of line capacity, so they are not really that great for swimbaits. Never heard of ANDE mono though.
