  1. Of course I do! Only weirdos don't!
  2. A little over 3 I would guess. Go buy a scale! Its the best investment I have made this year.
  3. I got the 6-6 model and love it so far!
  4. Wow, top notch customer service! Gave them a email and they said call them up to get it all sorted out. No questions asked. They simply said cut the guide and model number off the rod and send it along with 14.95 for shipping.
  5. I would just save your money and get a Revo. I bought a Silvermax, and sold it the next day. I just got myself a Revo SX and I am in love with it.
  6. Haha. That was hilarious. I cracked up when he said the fish will be swimming. You guys would be a blast to fish with.
  7. Congrats! I remember my first fish on a jig. It just gets better. Pretty soon you'll go all out and get a setup just for jigs.
  8. I think I am gonna get one with this graduation money I got. Its burning a hole in my pocket!
  9. I bought a Okuma swimbait rod a couple months ago and I have been feeling roughness when letting line out. Well, today I checked my rod out and I noticed the guide on the tip has grooves in it from my line! I use 25lb mono. Is this normal? Or should it be covered under warranty?
  10. Well, the Citica and Cardiff are two totally different types of reels. A citica is a low profile and a cardiff is a round profile. I own both (Citica 100 and Cardiff 400), and love both. The Cardiff I have however is for swimbaits, so I have no say on how the smaller ones cast smaller lures. I would get a citica though if I was you. I have had no problems with it and they are great reels!
  11. 6 or 8 inch Huddleston.
  12. I cleaned my handles today with rubbing alcohol with great results! I just took a rag and soaked it with rubbing alcohol, and scrubbed.
  13. The frog is known to catch more bigger fish than small, but I still have caught and seen small bass caught on them. I also have seen some monsters caught on them. It all depends on the time and conditions.
  14. I throw a frog all day and have caught bass at all different times. They will hit it in the dead of winter or the dog days of the summer. Be sure when the bass takes your frog down, give him a second to take the bait in before you set fire. Wait until you feel the weight of him, then set the hook. If he misses it, leave it there. They most likely will hit it again. If not, have a second rod ready with a senko. Toss that down there and they will smack that. Also, let the bass tell you what they want. Some days I get them working the frog fast, sometimes walking the frog, and sometimes just dead sticking it. Just put it this way, frog fishing can be the most frustrating lure to use, but once you get it down, it is hot. Alot of bass will miss it, or they will just roll on it. I also recommend getting a Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Frog instead of the Spro. They are the best frog money can buy in my opinion.
  15. I got a 765, and I love it! Very sensitive, light, and great customer service. No complaints yet.
  16. Kreature, and Lipless cranks.
  17. I think I would let the bass go. I would get a replica of it done up. I rather have the fish live the rest of its life, than worry about someone else catching it one day and breaking my record. It would suck though. Once the word gets out about a world record being caught some where, you can bet that tons of new people are gonna be at that spot everyday trying to get their hand at a world record. A bass that old though deserves to be released in my opinion. It has survived being a fry from when it was born, to competition against other bass, and other predators. Good topic though.
  18. Man, this is how I am gonna be when I get a job and a steady amount of money coming in, so that book shelf idea doesn't look half bad. You can never have enough tackle.
  19. I want to get a 4x4 so bad. Hopefully one day I will. I already attempted my 2wd Dodge Dakota on some trails and that didn't work out. Haha, got stuck. I want to get a Tacoma, or a Ranger. I got tons of places to wheel over here too.
  20. Buy them all! I love my Powell rod to death. If you don't need them all, just buy them and resell them at full price.
  21. I have already done this, and have caught fish on it, but it is what everyone else is saying to do. Dropshot with a Shak-e2 for weight. Like so: Works wonderfully! I put either a big roboworm, or a trick worm on the bottom, and a smaller roboworm on the top. I haven't caught two fish at once yet, but that would be awesome. Here is a fish I caught with this setup.
  22. I would say your rod is your main problem. Are your hooks sharp?
  23. Nice catch! I have caught frogs on frogs too, haha. You got R/C cars? I saw the hat.
