Smallies, Poker & Beer

Had two buddies over for a week of smallie fishing, poker & beer. We got a boat load of smallies over five but only one over six at 6.5lbs. Great fun as always. I must admit I'm a better fisherman than a poker player as my poker luck sucked. The beer was cold & the comraderie was great as usual. Here a few pics from our week. All fish were caught on jerk baits.

You're still making it happen Dwight.

Looks like good times were had by all.

Very stout smallies right there ~ as usual.

The weather looked fairly cooperative, at least in the photos.

While playing poker, do you guys bet using jerkbaits ?

I can see it now - "OK, I'll see your 3 deep husky jerks and raise you - 2 pointer 100's And a Smithwick ! "

Now if you could only figure out a way to make the brown gold into poker chips, you'd be ahead!

Tight lines!

I'm better at beer then fishing, but i still enjoy going!

nice fish btw

Beer and fishing have poker beat by a country mile.

Congratulations on a boatload of sows,

which in your case is business as usual

Those are some nice smallies. I wish there were more places to catch them around here.

You sure that was Erie?

Water looks awful calm.

Great fish as usual.
