One of the most effective cold water baits is the suspending jerkbait. Cold water and sluggish bass are no problem for a suspending Smithwick Rogue! What's your favorite jerkbait color?

My buddies sour grape rouge has been good for him early in the morning he also throws a blue/silver rouge and clear rapala husky jerk with some success. My favorite is blue and clear/silver with and without an orange belly or black/silver in a couple different brands but rainbow trout diawa db has been the best numbers so far this winter for me.

I never fish the Rogue, but my favorite is the Xcalibur in Foxy Mama. Also love the pointers in sexy shad, and am excited to try the new KVD bait from Strike King.

I just started fishing jerkbaits this past fall...so my experience is somewhat limited. That said, I caught the vast majority of my jerkbait fish on a pearl or bone colored lure.

Lucky Craft's NC Female Blue Gill (Now discontinued) has been good to me, and MS American Shad is beautiful. Ayu has been productive, and is one of my "confidence colors". In the end though, my favorite color is Megabass's Ito Wakasagi.

The Rogues are reliable. Lucky Craft Pointers are worth the money.

 

For a good, low cost suspending jerk, give me Bomber 15APs in Blue Flash and Silver Flash/Orange Belly.

I am not picky. Something with a green or brown back, with a splash of chartruese, purple, blue,or gold on it, and a translucent belly.

I like the Lucky Craft Pointers. Ghost Minnow's probably my favorite color.

 

Although looking forward to getting a couple Megabass Vision 110's. Heard a lot of good things about them.
