One of my goals this year is to learn how to catch fish on jigs so I decided to place a ordered at Siebert Outdoors for about 10 jigs and was wondering how do ya'll organize & keep your jigs? Need some suggestions.

I do a 3700 size box and seperate them by rows then by size in that row split by a divider it kinda goes like this

 

top: Brush style heads 

1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4

2nd row: Football heads

3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1oz

3rd row: Arky heads

1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4

4th row: swim jigs/ flip and swim style

1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2

 

hope that gives you an idea of how I do it, I have some siebert jigs and order their heads to tie my own favorite colors I also use Northstar jigs and they are wonderful! those are the only two brands of jigs I use anymore and have no plan to switch, very good quality jigs! 

I also have a seperate box for my chatterbaits and finesse jigs

Just organized in Plano boxes.  Easiest way I have found so far.

I may not be the best to ask on this, but I use a 3700 series box. Unfortunately I have 9 of them packed pretty full. The boxes are organized by color and style primarily.

Since you have a small amount of jigs I would say a 3700 or 3600 series box would be perfect. Another tip would be to utilize a few compartments in the box to store a few jig trailers. This will be handy and eliminate the need to take additional soft plastic trailers with you in a separate storage system. Just select a dozen or so plastic trailers and put them in an empty compartment or two. As you start using them up or they get worn out, just add a few more to the box.

I organize by color in a 3700 box.  I have about 50 jigs and I know pretty much exactly what I have. Thinking about that now, I bet non fishing people think its crazy that we can tell someone exactly what we have and where it is in our tackle box.

I have an FTO jig box. Holds them all really tight. The rest get labeled and put on the peg board until needed

I organize by color, sorted by size. Then in my boat box, I have the colors I will use in sizes from 1/4 to 1 oz.

in storage, I peg board them by size and color. Color top to bottom, size small left to large right.

I never leave jigs in boxes longer than I would be using them. It can deform the weed guards.

I have 7 3700 boxes. The thin ones.

Misc. 3/4-1oz-chatter baits-punch hubs w/ skirts-extra jig heads.

1/2 swim

1/2 other style heads

3/8 swim

3/8 other style heads

1/4 swim

1/4 other style heads

Organize from dark in the top row down to light.

If I'm out on the boat I take them all. If I'm on the bank I filll a 3700 box with what I want and stick it in my tackle bag and put them back when I get home.

Me too. Except my spares are stored at home in 3700 boxes.

I have a 3700 box that I organize by rows and columns.  Going across the box each row has the same weight in it.  Going down each column is organized by color.  Heaviest jigs in the back and the lightest jigs up front near the latches.  So one row may be all 1/2 ounce, while the column may be all black/blue.

For my carry-on tacklebag I have separate Plano 3601 boxes for regular jigs and swim jigs.

In each compartment I have two trailers and two identical jigs. My "reserves" represent the

bulk of my collection and are stored in my man cave.

I use a "Cabelas T.U.B." (tackle utlility binder) keeps all my jigs and trailers organized and easy to find. It's the size of a 3700 only thicker.

Another vote for 3700 boxes. I tried a Falcon jig box and didn't like it. I keep swimjigs separate from regular jigs

I too, have an FTO jig box. Very neat and orderly. Then had start using the compartmented 3600's. Now my jig collection has gotten totally out of control. I am now carrying my Siebert jigs in a plastic freezer bag, (sorry Mike). I want to make sure my Siebert jigs are separate. Don't want to mix diamonds with rinestones.

Plano box divided into size and color...simple and effective

Sounding like a broken record, but Plano 3700 Series for me as well. I am considering switching them to a Plano 3771 though... I can see a lot of my current 3700's getting replaced with the 3771's. I live the versatility and low profile.
