My Wife Is Gold!

Featured Replies

Yesterday (Jun 28), Lois & I celebrated our 50th Golden Anniversary.
It's actually closer to 51 years because I asked her to go steady on Oct 11, 1963

I asked Lois where she liked to go today (Sunday), and told her the world is her oyster.
You guessed it, we're going fishing this afternoon.  How lucky can a guy get? (I'm not worthy)

Congratulations to you Both ~ !

In Fifty plus years together you've shared so many things.

That's why this very special anniversary brings to you, a wish that love, laughter, joy, contentment too will be yours to share throughout the years ahead of you.

Now get out there and put that lucky lady on some fish . . . . . . . .

Well congratulations to you both. 50th anniversary is pretty special. We just had our 44th this month.

Good luck on your outing but I got to tell you Roger my money is on Lois.

Congratulations Roger. I have only managed 38 years, but like you I married up and am a very lucky guy. I wish you many more!

Congratulations.  You may be the only member that has me beat in the marriage department.  We celebrated our 49th on June 18th.

However, unlike yours, my wife does not have the slightest interest in fishing.

I can only imagine, it must be special, it has to be special, I am glad to hear this longevity in marriage. So, I would too say congratulations. 50 years, incredible!

Congratulations and the best wishes to both of yo!!! 38 years here and I do understand how sweet it is!! Far to many today take this accomplishment far to lightly, and will never put the dedication and devotion into it, that it takes to make it happen, and will never understand how GREAT IT IS!!!  You two have done it and we all know now it will be "till death do we part" ,,,, My biggest wish to the both of you is that that will be a long way's away!!!!   :happy-anniversary-055:

You know a safe bet when you see one

Lois used to ask me a bunch of questions about fishing, but now I find myself asking her questions.

I put her on notice though, and told her that she's on her own for the next 50 years.

On our first date, I took Lois with me to track a deer I hit with bow & arrow.

Her fascination with the outdoors was obvious and we bonded immediately.

I broke off with another girl I was dating at the time. Ironically, the other girl

married my best friend and they celebrated their 49th anniversary this year.
