I had been bait monkey less since February. Wife was pregnant with twins and frowned on me fishing. Twins were born healthy in May. Now that we are getting the swing of this parenting thing I have eased back into fishing a little bit. She evens encourages it a bit as we all need a break from time to time.

i took advantage of the TW sale.  Picked up megabass diamanté topwater, swim jigs from strike King and Gambler.  Yum dingers and Christy critters. A few 6xds.  Spinnerbait from war eagle and booyah.  Bone white kvd spit n topwater.  Reaction innovations pocket rocket. Rage swimmers and some ocho stick baits after seeing the elites at Cayuga killing them.  Some zoom mag trick worms and some dye . Also want to try some cork sealer on my rods.  Finally a few pieces of terminal tackle and tungsten  

 

Fell victim to the monkey and went back today and got the coat while it was on sale too.

I sealed the cork on all my new NRX rods before using them and so glad I did. Definitely something I will continue to do with new rods in the future.

So I'm reading a thread and Bluebasser mentions using the ZMan Punch Crawz as a Ned rig.  I check them out, wow, they look good, so I decide to get a couple of packs in a couple of different colors.  

I then realized I could use another pack of TRD's in California Craw and you know what, those ZMan bat wings look like a good trailer.

Someone on the MLF highlight show was using a rage bug turned sideways as a trailer on a chatterbait, good imitation of a bluegill, give me a couple of packs.  

Didn't I read that the Live target bluegill's skip real well??  Add that in, I need to get over $50 for free shipping...

I just ordered a lot of 28 old Bill Norman lures from Ebay.  Mainly did it to get a particular lure that there were 9-10 of in the lot that isn't made anymore for a gift for my dad (it's about the only crankbait he'll use).  So, saving the "Quarterbacks" for his birthday, what should I do with the rest?  Well, maybe I should save them to help build my nephews' tackle boxes, I don't know.  The guy I purchased them from is local and sent me a message that he has a lot more vintage Bill Norman's, here we go!

Well, I guess it's official now.  I just bought @DirtyDeuceGoose's Megabass Orochi XX Flat Side Special to put my Ito Ai on for a dedicated smaller jerks/cranks/vibe setup.  Now just to decide whether I want to use 6# or 8# CXX...  *sigh* #firstworldproblems

Received my order of skirts, jig, tungsten, pack Rage Tail  Anaconda, and 2 packs of Rage Swimmers 3.75" from Siebert's.

Picked up my first super spook Jr. Neverfished one before. Also picked up my firstbag  of zoom trick worms(magnum) in black believe it ornot.  

Well, the monkey has been trying his best to trick me into making purchases I didn't need. Sad thing is that he succeeded in convincing me that I needed a bunch of gear! Here's what I remember buying the last few months...

Daiwa Aird 2000SH, Daiwa Tatula 7'1" MLXS spinning rod, 2 Daiwa Ardito travel rods, a custom spybait casting rod, 3 bags of original trick worms, 4 bags of salted trick worms, 10 bags of flukes, 2 packages of Keitech's, some shakey head hooks, a partial TD-Z 100ML US Trail (and the parts to complete it), a J-Dream spool (from Japan!), some YT Fusion HD+ bearings (also from Japan!), a partial TD-Z 103ML, a partial TD-Ito 103HL, 4 reels tuned by Ian Shields (Steez, TD-Ito, Airy Red, J-Dream), a few spools of Yo-Zuri hybrid to try out, some Sunline Sniper, and I'm sure I missed a bunch of other stuff (selective memory in case I'm interrogated...). I will not be taking pictures in order to ensure there isn't any tangible evidence (again, in case of interrogation...).
