I got rid of a bunch of stuff that was just sitting in the box so I could get BETTER stuff!

I had 4 gigantarels...and that's honestly a bait that is too big and awkward for me to have 4 - I whittled it down to 2.  I also got rid of all the live target soft baits I had - honestly think they are hot garbage.  Also canned the swaver 200 because it is probably the worst swimming glide bait in eternity.  I also have another bait coming if that makes the monkey happy - I traded 2 of my 8" rainbow hudds(had 6) for a DEPS 175...

Today's mail and a stop by the toy store. The Aruku reminded me of @browne762 Rattlin vibe so I grabbed 2. I'm a sucker for a chartruese belly. I got 5 out of 6 shiners, one was said to been broke.

I’ll be interested to see how you like the new lexa wn. I had one of the older blue ones and it felt like a can opener after a couple months.

Not pictured..S Waver 200 and a Arashi Glide. Really want a 250 or a 175 Deps but we’ll see how that goes.

I was super excited to find a brand new Falcon Lowrider XG on sale last week. It’s probably the last XG with tags on it in the world lol. USPS did not share my enthusiasm! Luckily the rod looks fine but time will tell if damage was done.

AL uses some thick rod tubes. That must have really been hit hard.

Conveyer belt damage most likely. The cardboard looked like it was torn apart so I’m guessing it got caught in a conveyer belt turn

It was fairly inexpensive and I bought it solely because you don’t find old school American made rods new with tags anymore. But of course the first ever damaged rod tube I’ve received was one that couldn’t be replaced lol

Had this happen a few times. One was a cumulus rod that was like new. Even when you note 'do not convey' they still do and a nice tube can snap. Insurance is a must and so is PVC. Fish it. Might be totally fine.

I bought a Fenwick Elite Tech Walleye spinning rod years ago that came like that. I'm still fishing it today with no issues.

Hopefully yours will be fine.

I got a few things - fun thing about that Tomato Craw LVR Mini... I ordered that from Russia back in February and just received it today.  I figured it was gone...however it wont be doing me.much good on this years spring bite.  Lol

Also, @Glenn you should look into putting together a Bass Resource hooded sun shirt and/or sun mask request to see if there is any interest. I am interested...

Doubt it..I work at a USPS Distribution Plant in San Francisco. Packages that big aren’t processed on belts. They’re manually processed. So more than likely someone was just careless with your package.

If so then even more disappointing.

From Russia with love and lag. tomato color eh, interesting..

Those are awful big baits and hooks for a boy that claims to catch only 1 pounders. What are you gonna do try get a 1 pound bass to mate with it and set the hooks? Ouch!

I am desperately trying to upsize my catches...and I do fish other waters but 99% of the bass I catch are less than 2 pounds.  My PB last year was 8 lbs.  This year we are sitting at 6 lbs.  The thing is I only caught 4 fish last year over 3 lbs.  This year only 2 so far.

I must be the last of the true 1 pound and under bass masters!

I have a blue handled WN and it has performed flawlessly in the fresh and the salt.  I wonder if you got a bad reel.

Yeah, I have 2 of the blue handled winn models and they are fantastic.  Overall I have 5 Lexas and they are used pretty often...  I can't wait to grab a Tatula 300 though, those look awesome.

I have had a lot of my musky friends have the same experience as I have with the blue handled models. Burning Double 10 buck tails and ripping pounders/ monster dusa’s put a whole lot more stress on a reel than swimbaits do. It’s weird that those reels are known in the musky world to be notoriously flakey, mine got really grindy around the 3 month mark. I’m going to try the new one since I’ve got a pounder rod without a tranx on it.

Yeah, I have read the same things.  For all my musky duties and Large swimbait duties I have the Lexa HD's.  A 400 and 300.  I mostly use my winn Lexas for smaller swimbaiting and smaller bucktails and stuff.

6 more AC Shiners ordered tonight. That's 18 ordered in last couple weeks, might just call ol A C up and tell him send me a couple of everything.

I ordered 4 double prop 2" 1/4oz models. Should be great for the "fun" size bass I catch. Ordered a 250 in black n blue and a 450 in Sunfish to add to the heap.

Happy Birthday to me - spent some of the gift cards I got from Cabela's.  Also got some sandals and AFTCO shorts.
