My first froggin’ combo! The pitch switch looks interesting on the XH Lew’s Super Duty LFS. Can’t wait to get some 65# braid and get to work!

Good question.  When set in the “on” position, the reel is already engaged immediately during the cast. In other words, it saves the quick step of cranking the handle to engage the reel.

Whether I use it or not, kind of a cool feature if I use it for pitching and get bites as soon as it hits the water .... which only really happen in my dreams, personally haha

I hit my local DSG/F&S with a shopping list and the same items and prices from TW saved in windows on my phone. I asked and they priced matched which was cool and I didn't have to wait an eternity for the stuff to arrive. Saved 8$ on the Gantarel and a little bit less on the rest. If you're like me and dig the Beast coast Miyagi Swimmer the Death Wish 5" is nearly it's clone and offers some different colors. The Fishlab 3/4 oz Rattling frog is a true 23 grams, so it can be chucked a mile. We'll see about the hookup ratio. The plastic is kind of stiff.

Darn. I bought a pack of Berkeley Powerbait Power Worms in junebug. I couldn’t resist.

Congrats. Supply chains get disrupted, but the love of the game doesn’t change.

Have that same rod for frogs and have to say I've been pleasantly surprised.

Christmas in July part 1.  Also got an SE 400 hydrofoil and new cover for my dad's boat.

Got my Daiwa Tatula 100 today and paired it with an Abu Garcia Vengeance 6’9” MH for a shaky head setup. I wanted a 7’ MHF rod, but can’t find them anywhere.

I just picked up a few mint vintage Fenwick fly rods & reels.  Gonna whip the tar out of some bass fly's.

Christmas in July part 2...The MidwayUSA sale got me good.

Holy Robo worms!!! What did you use them for? Drop shot? Other finesse? I just picked up a few packs to try out

I drop shot them. They seem to work better than other worms texas rigged on a straight shank finesse hook. Problem is their durability is nonexistent. Had to stock up when they're almost half off.

Bait monkey whole visiting my sister in WV along with a couple lucky raffle wins.

Got my first order from Outlet Bait and Tackle and was very impressed. Ordered late afternoon on Tuesday and it arrived on Saturday.

Stocked up on 1/4 ounce War Eagle spinnerbaits.

Mr Jones the bait monkey won’t let that happen. I’ve got a pile of TW receipts to confirm it ?

That's a lie, you'll need more of those Rozantes after you fish that one.

I bought one because of your recommendation a long time ago lol. Looks like THE multi-species finesse jerkbait I’ve been looking for! Thanks Blue

Christmas in July part 3 and hopefully the last for awhile...

Btw, those Shock Blade pros are pretty sweet! Start up is as fast as a Jackhammer.

I willbe interested in hearing what you think about that SK braid

Unless I have a major malfuntion and need to replace some line, it may not get used this summer. I can tell you that it looks and feels great in hand. Very deep dark green which I like. Diameter is about equivalent to 12lb Trilene 100% fluoro. It's also very smooth without feeling like it's heavily coated with whatever some braids are coated with.  I'll be sure to share my thoughts if I get some time on the water with it.

It's 50# braid - there would have to be A LOT wrong with it for it not to work.  Braid is way over-engineered. I haven't really found any in the 12# equiv. diameter I have truly not been able to use.
