Can't wait to throw this Scum Frog Launch frog. Super soft bodied! There aren't enough deep lakes here to warrant a deep cranking rig, but there are some way east of me. This 7'9" Defy will get me in the big crank game for low $ the few times a year I can get out there, and will double as a Ganteral, G2, WP 130, and other 1.5-ish oz type treble baits stick the rest of the time when I'm working shallow water. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to chuck a 2oz Bull Gill in a pinch with it too. It'll get the Icon PT with 20lb Big Game. Perfect Yak rig. If I dump I'm only out a shade over 100 Bucks.

Cosigning this. I have...far less than @Bluebasser86 has, but they're my favorite hardbody jerk. I don't know how they compare to the megabass and luckycraft stuff, but they fish great and, like, dig into the water very predictably for me. Love 'em.

 I’d like to start learning the shakey head so I bought some jigs  3/32 and 3/16. kvd fat baby finesse worms in dirt and black/blue flake.  Wish they had the 7 inch worms but, they didn’t.  I have some magnum trick worms and swamp crawlers if I have to go bigger.

 

been wanting to try power bait max scent general worm.  Finally broke down and bought a bag to try.  I like that baby bass color I think it would be killer in clear water.  Bought some strike king shime sticks.  Summer craw color has been good all year so far.  This watermelon chart laminate is preatty close.

 

 

bought another Strike king crank series 4 . I don’t know why I haven't had a crank bite all year yet. They are like crack though.  I’d like to try some differnt crank brands but, all anybody carries is rapala, strike king, bombers, and occasionaly a bandit.

I bet it wanders a good 6-8 inches side to side, it's nuts. Doesn't dive nearly as deep as it looks like it would, maybe 2' tops.

You’re right! Just picked up a 3/16 oz Strike King KVD Lil Mr. Money spinnerbait in firetiger and a Strike King KVD sexy frog in leopard perch lol. 

Gotta preface this by saying my son had a birthday yesterday.  He comes home tmw (spends weekends with his mom) went by Walmart to get groceries and my trip to fishing section.  

 

 Saw the lews hank parker spinning rods had yellow stickers on them- (I have no intrest in these rods, I have powells and OG tatulas, for mine)  but they were marked down to 5.00 bucks (shakey head model).....from 45.  So I bought 3 of them.  The also had their Shakesphere Excurrison 6'8 MH marked down from 30 to 5.00.   So i got 3 of those.  

 

My son has a daiwa xt casting and 2 spinning rods... now he has 6 more rods.  On top of everything we already got him, hes gonna flip his lid.  I'm bot into cheap gear, but I don't think a 10 year old is gonna care.  If he can take care of these, we will see if he can get an upgrade next year.

 

Moral of this story, check your Walmart for those yellow stickers

 

Gonna have to buy him some reels now!
