Picked up some “old reliables” some of which are actually new to me. I’m excited to try the phenoms but wondering how you guys rig them. I have a lot more confidence in a shaky head than i do a Texas rig so I think I’ll go that route.

I've done very well rejecting the Bait Monkey since my last post.  No new rods.  A new Coastal SV and Icon PT (thanks to PhishLI) and an OG Steez 103H.  A couple spare spools...Steez 103 Type R+ and T3 1016.  Three rod sleeves, a few more reel covers and a few Yo-Zuri 3DB hardbaits.

Thank God I am growing some cajones and fighting back.  :teeth:

Diversity is the spice of life... you need to buy more in different colors!

Christmas in July part 3 and hopefully the last for awhile...

Btw, those Shock Blade pros are pretty sweet! Start up is as fast as a Jackhammer.

Good to hear, I knew I should have gotten more of the Shock Blade Pros as soon as I opened the one I ordered. If only I'd listened to the bait monkey.

6poundbass has his 10th birthday on the 2nd. He received a couple Basspro gift cards. This was his haul minus a couple back ordered items. The Googans aren’t a fan favorite I know, but he’s learned quite a bit from them.

Well, my conscious was eating at me and being a person that likes to keep a happy bait monkey I took ur advice Jedi and ordered 6 more AC Shiners in a size I've never had and for the spice of life I ordered 4 different colors, one being a color I've never had a Shiner in (black head-blue body). These are the model 200 which is a 2" 1/8 oz football shaped balsa floating minner that should be the cats azz for creek smally and Redeye. Thanks for correcting my error @JediAmoeba

I have more coming Monday and Tuesday... some may say I over did it... and to her I say "these aren't new"

@Smells like fish Two of them are "Green Silver" and two are "Metallic Bleeding Shad" and I agree they look pretty awesome.

Do you find those lures more effective than an original floater Rapala?

Do they sink or float?  I destroy walleye and smallmouth in creeks with a #5 Countdown.  I don't do nearly as well with a floater.

He got me today too!

Had to reload on some Keitech jigheads and swimbaits, but of course he had to whisper in my ear that I had to get some extras for reserves in case they sold out later when I ran out.

No I think either maker will do the job.

All my shiners are floaters. I retrieve them year around as a jerkbait with erratic snaps of the rod with hardly a pause and they have provided many creek battles even 40"+ musky at times on 6# line, the devils...

Received a custom built ALX Enox rod last week.  First fish I caught with it was 4 lb, this morning.  Think I'm gonna like this one.

well I picked up two new setups yesterday. I was really hoping to get out on the water this weekend but being on call I ended up working all day. Managed to get an hour off in-between calls and went to my local scheels. Both are g loomis IMX pros, one is a 892 7’5” M XF and the other 853 7’1” MH XF. IMX pros are slowly starting to take over my rod arsenal, really a big fan of how solid and powerful they feel while still being sensitive and light. 892 is going to be mostly used for shaky heads, 3-4” swimbaits on light wire hooks, rage menace/chigger craw on a ball head for river smallies, anything finesse really. The 853 is going to be an all around finesse to mid sized jig rod, jerkbaits for pike with heavier wire trebles, and whatever else in that normal wire hook category.  Both are paired with a curado DC, 892 has 30lbs maxcuatro and the 853 has 40lbs. Don’t mind the mess on my boat, since coming home from a week long trip up north it has become a work bench in my garage.

I’ve had 9 different plumbing calls since I got “done” with work on Friday night, if I’m going to have to work all weekend at least I have something cool to look forward to playing with when I get home. At least that’s what the monkey told me, feels like he’s getting stronger every week.

I placed a Tackle warehouse order yesterday and it said my order won’t ship until Aug. 7! That’s quite the bummer, anybody else have major delays with TW?

Yep. Sign of the times, my friend.

Yes.

Started several months back and apparantly continues.

After my last order in April of all in stock items, took 5 weeks to arrive,  I successfully utilized other vendors who are capable of much shorter and reasonable order processing / shipping times.   Amazon and EBay to name two.

I wasn’t aware. I have a birthday the day before my TW order is scheduled to ship, the wife asked what I wanted and after the this bummer I told her I’d take a small shopping spree from @Siebert Outdoors, so I’ll take any recommendations. ?

Sold off most of my entry level swimbait stuff to get a few good pieces to throw...  I am really excited about this guy!
