You find some special fish dust in those little cups??

That is trout food for the kids.  You get it wet roll it in a ball and put it on the hook.  Works well

Thought maybe you had a secret seasoning to put on your baits!!!!!?

I just got home from the store of temptation. Added some bull worms and c macs to the pack of v&m I bought a few days ago. These are the only 2 styles of big hooks that was there. I prefer needlepoint but bought trokar til I can substitute. Will these big football head shakey heads be good for these 10 and 11" worms?

Those football head will be fine... 8/0 is bigger than what I use...but I'm sure it will be fine.  I like fishing big worms on a football head especially on rocky banks, ledges, or any kinda offshore points or structures.  Good night time bait too!

The monkey made me do it.  I cannot lie.

On Sunday I was out on the water and found myself in a situation where I could have been deeper cranking. It’s not something I’ve done in the past because most of my fisheries dont have areas where it would be effective, but I’ve been exploring a new reservoir around where I live and I think I could do well with it. I don’t own any cranks over 10ft besides walleye stuff so I went on TW on Sunday night to pick up a couple baits. Ended up with this in my cart, as well as going to my local scheels and buying a st croix mojo glass 7’4” MH cranking rod and paired it with a curado K 6.1 with 30lbs suffix 832. Hoping to try it out when I hit up the Mississippi this weekend to crank some steep rap for smallmouth and walleye.

Got my newest, most expensive swimbait.  This thing costs more than either of the rods I will be throwing it on.  ?

I wouldn't chance losing that thing, I'd leave the bonnets on or remove hooks ?

Maybe just make a nice shadow box for it and put it on the wall instead of even tying it on.

We tied it on already and threw it for an hour!  Full send, as they say!

Hooks come in many flavors for kids and cost a heck of a lot more than any feathered trebles I have seen.  Lol

I’ve always been curious about trying some high end glides like that but with how many pike and musky I have in my waters it’s always kept me from pulling the trigger. I’ve had a mid 30” pike split a 168 s waver in half after he rolled around in the net with it, would hate to see that happen with a high end glide. Most glides aren’t designed to be fished on 80-100lbs floro or titanium leaders either, really impacts the action. Worst part is the best times to throw glides for me, spring and fall, is also the same time when the pike are shallow and the most active.

Jaint juice

Broke my last rod that was soft enough for cranking trying to get my 5XD off a stump on Sunday.

Sunday night:

Duckett Jacob Wheeler 7'2 MH Composite

Tuesday:

BassX 7'2 M/MF

Shimano SLX

200yds 14# Sunline FC Sniper

Thursday:

BassX 7'2 MH/M

Might send the Wheeler rod back if I'm satisfied with the MH/M. This St Croix B-stock sale is about to lead me way further down the rabbit hole though...

@Bluebasser86, how are the Provokes?

They've quickly become one of my favorites. I have 12-15 now.

Welp BPS screwed me out of my Ci4+ sale so I decided to splurge on some other things realizing I really didn't need the reel. 2nd order from Siebert Outdoors, cant wait to try out the other Fogy colors since I have been killin it on the Hot Sauce and 2 different Dredge packages to try out. Been wanting to try the Space Monkey and ManBearPig for little while now and always good to stock up on some Dark Sleepers, although may have ordered few too many. Anyone try out that ChaseBait Mudbug? Couldnt resist giving it a go. S/O to Scheels, 1st time ordering, super fast and great sale. Like always Siebert crazy fast turn around time
