Couple of recent purchases....

 

 

Sale + coupons + rewards at Dick's Sporting Goods allowed me to get the 2 megabass lures and the suffix 832 for $15 total!!

 

 

My dad was in town and wanted to hit the Cabela's.  Clearance and sales made for a good trip!

My 6'6" MH/F Fenwick HMG, spool of 17lb Berkley Trilene Flouro, and 2 Booyah Pad Crashers in Swamp Frog were waiting for me when I returned from my vacation. The HMG looks like a really nice quality rod, and light too. Now to give it the Jigs for Sticking Pigs test...

My order came in today.

Lord it's 2 in the morning and I just ordered another frog!All I needed was some mend it and frog hooks.

This my second well third but second in the bright bluegill color. I had my best morning all year by far and every fish came on the Shellcracker. Well that is up until I hit a tree branch and instead of retying I just re-casted and hooked up a dink, so I just surfed it back to the boat and as I lifted it to swing it into the boat it shook and there he went along with my brand new Shellcracker. When you get fish chasing one kill it and it will swim up to the top and that's when they hammer it. I fish Liberty reservoir and its really clear so I see most bites before they happen, which sometimes can make it tough because you have to make them commit as soon as you can see them or not too long after they'll see you and its game over. 

 

On another note the bait well tackle monkey got me for another $114 last night on an Okuma 7'11" heavy big bait rod so I can take this whole swimbait thing to a new level. That and the Hybrid striper season should be coming back in play real soon and we have some hammer hybrids where I fish, hence the Savage gear trout!!!

Another TDZ 100m. Going to have to do a few mods to this one before using it.

Picked up a couple megabass lures. Two pop max's and 10 pop x's. I am hooked on the pop x lures. Got all the pop x's new for $9.40 each. Worst case I can get my money back. Will post pics when they get here in a couple weeks.

Since my MegaStike lures have lost their skirts (band split on both) I decided to try my hand in tying my own skirts on so I placed an order with fishingskirts.com. I also wanted a thicker skirt on my Zman TW custom chatterbaits with a much better (to me) bright pure white/chartruse skirt like the old Phenix vibrator jigs used.

Just picked up this little guy. Can't wait to test it out in my creeks.

I cannot comment on the *** but the C is smooooooothhhhh, not to mention its purrty. the oversized cork handles are nice as well. It should come in tomorrow or Thursday and I'll let you know how it preforms this weekend.

A few new JDM reels!

Wow, you can tell everyone's TW order was late! Anyway, here's how I got away from the labor day sale.

Well I just ordered $150 worth of senko's my red/ L red flake 5"/6"/7".

Time to get ahead Christmas shopping. I'm thinking a c-rig with a pkg of senko's to every fisherman in the family.

Last year I have them all daiwa spinning reels and nice bass rods. This year it's lures for them with other stuff.

I just ordered a bunch of h2o express baits from academy. I never seen them in person bc I do not live by one. I love the look of their finishes online though. I got 8 hard baits for $32.00!!
