Havent Been Around In Awhile. Sad News.

Featured Replies

Hope all is well with y'all.

Unfortunately I lost my 32 year old son to a horrific traffic accident last week in Okeechobee.

He just started getting into the position in life where we could fish together, past summer we fished 3 tournaments together  1st and Big fish (his), 2nd, and 3rd cashing checks in everyone of them. They were his first tournaments. He never showed interest in it as a young kid but then started getting into later in life.

He looked at me on the way home and said this stuffs easy. We started laughing at that.

Thanks for letting me share its somewhat therapeutic.

Gar-tracker, I am so sorry to hear about your loss, i can't imagine the sorrow that you and your family must be going through.

It sounds like you have good memories with him, I hope you take time to grieve and find comfort in your faith.

This is very bad news.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your son.

I can't imagine losing my son or grand kids.

Really, really feel for you and the family.

Hang in there and thoughts and prayers sent your way.

My condolences to you and your family.

So sorry to hear. I hate that accidents happen like this to good people. There is nothing worse on this earth than losing a child. I am amazed at the courage for you have to even type this out. Nothing can really be said to ease the pain, only time. While it is terrible that other parents suffer similar circumstances, i advise you to seek grief groups. Everyone grieves differently, but for many it helps to process it with those that have suffered as well. I have run grief counseling and deal with it frequently in my profession. It will be inevitable that someone will say, "i know how you feel," and this will probably only add fuel to your fire and invalidate the uniqueness of your situation. Grieve in your own way, don't avoid processing the emotions of it, and above all else, don't ever allow yourself or even entertain the idea of feeling guilty. My heart truly goes out to you. God bless my friend.
