I would just like to say this is my first post on bassresource, I have been reading tons of info for the past few months and made an account a little while ago but havent contributed just yet.  I hope in due time I help contribute some facts or information.  The name is Allen, I'm 22, and I've been a member of fishingnetwork for a loooong while and decided to try this site out.

As far as my question goes, if you were 'stranded' on an island or could only use 1 lure ever again what would it be? I would have to go with the Fat Ika for me, but I'd love to hear some of your responses.

Single nickle Colorado chartreuse & white 3/8 oz spinnerbait.

id go with a seizmic frog in green pumkin. or if we only got one lure id go with a silver fox in a gold color

Wow, tough question! I would say a 1/4oz. tandem, white/chartreuse spinnerbait.

...then again, maybe a 5" Senko

3/8 oz black and blue jig.

Tube, hands down.

5" senko, hard to chose though

Very hard to choose ........but id use a MANNS 6 inch grape jelly worm <u can cut the flat tail off and have a bait that shimmies on fall or use it wacky rigged,texas rigged Carolina rigged   on a small jig or drop shotted  it can be cut to match what size forage is present very versatile

tandem blades chart/white spinnerbait or 6"senko black

5" Senko brown purple black flake or a Baby Paca Craw.

tandem spinnerbait chart/white gold /silver blade 3/8oz

Green pumpkin jig with matching trailer color.

7.5" culpit worm in red shad, You can cut the tail off and you get a fineese worm.

There are only two baits worth considering: Fat Ika or 5" Senko.

If your only goal is to catch a few bass, these two lures will always produce. That's not to say that other lures might not be a better choice on any given day. For example, in low light and when fish are very active and/ or chasing shad, reaction lures are usually FAR MORE productive. There are times when you can't buy a bite on any finesse bait. I am NOT suggesting that anyone should restrict themselves to these lures exclusively, BUT...until three years ago the Senko was my most productive lure EVER. It's still a VERY close second, but for the past few years, the Fat Ika has been King.

1/4 oz jig in craw. Will catch alot of nice bass, and is very versitile.

If I had an endless supply of just one kind of bait....senko, watermelon/red flake.

If I could only have ONE....I guess I'd go with the same thing.  After it got torn up (2 fish later) I'd just have to sharpen a stick and spear em like Tom Hanks in Castaway.

If you say jignpig or senko, your implying that you have an unlimited supply of plastic.

I know I'm being technical here, but it's part of the fun of games like this.

Sooooooooooooo...  I would say a hair jig.  

You see a desert island is, by definition, surrounded by salt water.  Now maybe there is a pond in this desert with enough fresh water to hold bass, but then you simply tip the jig with something crawling around like a juicy scorpion and have a perfect jig/craw imitation.

If it doesn't kill you first.

Maybe I'll switch to the 5" senko watermelon/black
