Favorite Jig?

Featured Replies

I've experimented with a few jigs this spring and I would say I like Booyah the most right now but I never got to try terminator jigs, they look like they would slide through cover pretty easy but they are the most expensive. I also didnt get to try several other brands. All an all I really just want the jig to have a good mustad or gamakatsu hook on it. What are your guys fav. brands/styles?

My neighbor fish's tournaments and he swear's by the Booyah jigs.  He's won a lot of money using them.

I prefer the unique, Vertical JigXs but I am trying a new-to-me one known as the Whaddajig.

for the price i think you will have trouble beating a arkee jig ,,,, and not the swindell one eighter ..... they have a regular jig that runs 1.35 or so and this jig catches fish ..... ;D

I pour my own using owner hooks on most.  I am using mustad on my poison tail.  Looking for a better hook for that mold.  Have to do a lot of sharping on the mustad and that cuts into my fishing time.  I pour 7 types of jigs at this time.  Nothing like fooling a Bass with a bait you made.  My PB Smallie came on a 1/16oz ball head.

Micro Munch Tackle jigs. Made by our very own earthworm77.

I make my own also.  Dont use any brands.   All custom made by me for me.

I too like the JigXs, and also liking Jewel Bait Co's Spider Jig

Booyah and Strike King.

i like the jewel football heads.  another jig ive been using a lot lately is the strike king premier pro model jig.  there are some serious downsides to this jig, as the rattle is unremovable which makes it really hard to change skirts but i like that i don't have to special order them, and the color patterns are really good.  i hesitate to call something that has a something i really do not like about it my favorite but it is what ive been throwing a lot lately when a football head is inappropriate.  the design also allows me to swim the jig and fish it in a traditional jig fashion using the same set up (this obviously is true for a lot of jigs).

I like the Arkie's too. Very reliable and affordable.

I like the jigs I bought from GMAN earlier in the year.

Still new to jig fishing, but that one that ROLO posted looks pretty sweet.

I have 4 for different conditions:

1. No rattle flippin jig- Oldham's Screw lock

2. Rattling Flippin Jig- Lunker Lure Rattle Back Monster Grass Jig

3. Finesse jig- Bitsy Flip 1/4 oz.

4. Football jig for deep structure fishing- PJ's Jig.

Every year I seem to have a new favorite. This year it's Mann's Stone jigs.

Currently Booyah.  I own and use quite a few different brands, but the majority of them are Booyahs.

I am also going to dabble with making my own soon.

Bitsy Flips are my jig of choice, however I am rarely "trophy hunting," and they catch numbers.

same here ;D

Can you make a plain chartruese the head and the skirt ???i used to have some arkie jigs this color and caught so many bass with um when i was younger then i couldnt find um no more ,mostly fishing open water swimming them really slow

I make my own jigs now. It doesn't hurt as bad to lose one but before that I was partial to jewels 5/16 eakins jigs.

I like to fish strikeking jigs. I can catch any sized fish including the biggy thats posted in the latest trip section ;)
