I would think more years than I have left!

I could stop purchasing soft plastics, however, I think that the soft plastic industry might suffer, and I don't want that on my shoulders.  There is also the chance that the next innovative design could be "the one" and if I stopped buying soft plastics then I'd never know, so I don't think I will stop buying soft plastics any time soon.

 

This is no BS, I have plastics from when I was a child and I'm 33 now. I could probably make it a good 15 years.

Maybe 5 years, but sadly the list of plastics i want keeps growing so that number will do the same.

I am 31 but I have say 15+  3600 plano boxes, about 4 three drawer filing cabinets, a sportsman trunk and a few tackle boxes full of just soft plastics. I have been at the point where I don't really run out of anything, so instead of buying what I need I can wait for some good deals to come my way and then make a large order saving a bunch of loot. 

Probably 5 years or so. I have at least ten 5 gallon buckets full of plastics. 

One season for the worms and another year for the rest. I thought I had a lot but now I realize that I don't have enough. I would be divorced if I had 10 years worth of plastics. LOL

Wow I thought tourney pros had the kind of backup. I'm trying to rebuild my arsenal, just getting  back in the game.

I get anxiety thinking about this question...If I were to never sell any of the baits I currently have, I could never finish a fraction of it even if I fished every day of the year for the next 50 years...With 20 friends.....Selling tackle is dangerous, soft baits especially, every color looks like it could be awesome.....and what if they stop making the bait? Heck, I stash baits away that I still have not tried but look awesome...It is almost an addiction and sometimes when someone buys something I really like, it actually hurts a bit...I hate when they grab my houdini colored swimbaits and black and blue blue tipped senkos, but for some reason I love to stash Spider grubs...Not sure why...I guess it's because they sell well so it's like a bank...and it is a bait you can use any day any where...The soft jig...Single tail, Double Tail, plus colors, 4" vs. 5", then trailers, grubs, ribbons, it's like Bubba Gump...I had a hard time making a box last year and this year...Took hours to narrow down a duffle bag and 2 binders I hang from my waste..and I still was jamming worms in my Topwater box...My goal is to not keep anymore and switch to all Z-man and Culprit....For this week...Next week I may be into Gambler and Zoom..

Idk I probably have around 200 bags of plastics a few bulk bags of my favs. Maybe 5+ years I don't rely on plastics near as much as I used to. Back when all I wanted to do was catch as many fish possible I burned through plastics like crazy. 

I use them a lot so I'd be guessing about a year and a half to two, maybe longer lol

Sadly or maybe wonderful depending on how you look at it I have enough plastics to last my GREAT grandchildren for a good while!!

Sir-Fortunately- you do have the dreaded fishing plastic hoarding disease--do not try to fight it--just enjoy it!!

Here is the hard baits I had in my boat last spring minus the topwater box that didn't make it in the picture. Yes I carry too much tackle but I am paranoid about being on the water and needing something that I have at home.

I'm scared to count how many bags I have.  That being said if armageddon happened tomorrow and the only thing that survived were me, my plastics, and the fish, I wouldn't stress about running out of food for the rest of my life.

I have exactly enough to last nineteen years .

Lets just say in senkos alone I could go the rest of my lifetime, and if reincarnated, another lifetime without running out. I try to hand out some of my plastics to friends and kids that fish the lake my canoe is moored at. Pass it along.

I can make it through this entire upcoming season with several of my staples, and probably well into next year as well. I am talking about things like 4" +  5" green pumpkin yum dingers, 3" + 4" green pumpkin pit boss's. I'll go through a ton of them this year, but I have a ton of them to go though.

I could make it several years with what I have, but I'd run out of the starting lineup baits before fall probably.
