What line do you use for Texas rigs and jigs? Can you use the same line for both? Just one sentence of explanation on why you use it would be great. Thanks

I mostly use 17 lb test trilene xl clear blue fluorescent . Its strong , flexible , castable, visible and .015 .inches thick .

 16# flouro or 65# braid depening on cover. What I tie on doesn't matter.

Berkley Big Game 15# Mean Green for everything but punching.

Berkley Big Game is the highest in abrasion resistant & shock absorption.

In the real world those two qualities out weigh every thing else!

I use 30lb braid for jigs now. I use to use big game but I can feel so much more with braid. I can also pull most limbs up to the boat if I get hung really good

i prefer braid for both, 30lb is my go to.  if i feel it is needed, i can always tie on a fluoro or mono leader, although i tend to go with 16lb sniper fluoro if needed.

15lb hybrid or 40lb braid for me depending on the situation and what i have rigged on other rods.  And just because you said not to put more than one sentence, I am putting this sentence in here lol

This^ the sensitivity of braid is unmatched by any other line. That and casting distance is why I almost always choose to run braid. 

I also like the no stretch qualities it has.. 

30lb braid with 14-17lb fluoro or mono leader

So many variables, but most frequently 16# straight fluoro for both unless I'm pitching short range (<35'), then 15# or 20# Big Game most times.

Straight braid for both unless you don't like maximum sensitivity.

I use braid, no leader for all single hook presentations. The water has a permanent tea color at best all the time here and the braid helps drive that hook home and adds sensitivity as previously mentioned.

It depends, I use 12-#17 Mono the most on casting gear, 40-50 braid,Spinning - 6-12 Mono, 10-20 lb braid. Fluro Leaders at times.

Dia matters more than LB test imo, So many variables, but I go as light as possible. #12 Mono can handle most Fishing except Flipping/Frogging.

17 or 20 lb flouro for most casting/pitching duties.  Flipping, pitching, or punching in heavier grass I'll use 65lb braid.  Seaguar Red Label and AbrasX for flouro and original Power Pro for braid.

12 lb Sunline fluoro for t rigs on the bait caster

 

Dragging or stroking football jigs I like 30# Spiderwire Flourobraid and 17#-20# abrazx leader. Pitching docks or wood 15#-17# Invizx.

10lb braid with 10lb FC leader for almost everything 

Currently testing 13lb Sunline Defier Armilo Monofilament.   Typically use Seaguar Tatsu or Invisx in 12lb,   I like the fact the FC does not have much bow in the line which keeps you in touch with the bait, and has good sensitivity on  a controlled slack line fall.

10 or 12lb. Shooter or sniper .Also I like the Sunline flippin FC. It alternates between sections of clear and chartreuse and is easier to see.

 The lightest it comes is 16lb. and I don't think it handles quite as well as Sniper but the visibility is a plus.

15# Big Game.  Read about it on this site, and started using it when I couldn't find Yo-Zuri locally.

I run 12 lb Berkley 100% Fluoro for both without issue.  

SunlineSuper Sniper FC in #16.  Manageable, lower stretch and visibility, good abrasion qualities, addition sensitivity, performance history is very good.

65lb power pro for T-Rigs and 15lb abraz-x for jigs
