Bobber stoppers

Featured Replies

I'm trying to get into punching. Found some watermelon red skirts on sale at cabelas, along with some 4/0 Vmc flippin hooks, but can't find bobber stoppers. Can't find them at academy either.. does everyone just buy them online now?

I normally buy sinker-stops from Tackle Warehouse.

Some brands hold up better than others, right now I'm happy with '6th Sense' line-stops.

Roger

I buy mine from amazon in bulk too.

Try looking in the crappie section .Everybody has them .

I pick mine up at siebert when i order my tungsten. They have 2 sizes as well, one for smaller or larger weights. Best of all they work very well for less than 1/2 the price of the 6th sense ones.  If you plan to punch check them out. Better prices on tungsten as well and they will also wire tie skirts as standalone punch skirts or onto a skirted punch weight, and still beat tw and acadamy on prices.

Bought mine on amazon.  I think I paid around $10 for 600.

While I don't punch much other than our

punching bag at home, I do use bobber

stops for various techniques. Normally get

the ones you slip your line into and thread

the rubber stop on.

Well...workout, not really. More that I show the

boys how to punch properly. I really really should

use it to work out. Need to drop pounds.

Hah, when I was 6-ft by 135 lbs, I punched the bag and sparred with my friends in the basement.

Now I’m 6-ft by 220 lbs and I don’t even know where my boxing gear is.

Yeah the good ole days.

My dad (Joe Louis era) was a Golden Gloves boxer too. He belonged to 3 YMCAs at the same time.

From bobber stops to boxing memories, what a thread. LOL

I was one of the worse boxers in my neighborhood . They were some tough kids I hung with . Nobody messed with me because   I had friends who were good at it .

Bass Pro has them. I like to use them on a T-rig! I will use two stoppers one before the weight and one after,so I can peg the weight or slide both up tight to the weight and now I have a C-rig.Oh Gander has them too.
