GAMBLER ACE:  Green-pumpkin Black-swirl

I place little stock in color, and when green-pumpkin isn't producing

I don't change colors, I put the stickworm down.

every time I find one on the bank, I throw it for S&Gs, and more times than not I catch fish with colors I'd never buy.

Hah, I am glad I am not the only one that does this!  Any found lure or plastic that is still fishable is immediately tied on and fished unless it is unreasonably heavy/light for the rig I am carrying.

Usually something with green or black

i did pick up a color, sweet potato pie, i haven't used it yet but that will be my new color to try.

Black

Black/blue

Watermelon/red

Green pumpkin

Watermelon Red Flake

Black/Blue Flake

Green Pumpkin

Summer Gill

Usually works well for me

My favorite is a yum dinger called "bream". Also black and blue, green pumpkins, or watermelons

Green pumpkin watermelon redflake or black if I am up north in MN

Baby bass is definitely underrated

Watermelon or Green Pumpkin with red and black flakes.  The color crosses lots of brands as "California."  That one kills up here in the NW.  And blue/black seems to do great as well.

Core Shot Luminous tail is my go-to in all conditions! My next three are watermelon/neon, PB&J, and Junebug. I mainly fish cloudy green water, and some tea-stained water.

Green Pumpkin (real close to most of the forage fish up here)

Black & Blue (because, black and blue)

Dark Pumpkin (best 'average' of native craw colors)

That's about it.  I have found that the days when they will bite "Motor Oil with Gold Nuggets" and not, at the same time, bite ol' "Black & Blue" are few and far between.

Shad aren't the foundational forage up here, in most cases.  But, we do occasionally have bodies of water where smelt play a big role.  In those cases or when there are shad, I'll add a silver/grey color to the mix.

Baby Bass

Green Pumpkin Chartreuse Tip

Watermelon candy

Green Pumpkin

Green Pumpkin Blue Flk

Black Blue Flake

Junebug

Watermelon Red

Cinnamon Purple Flake

Green Pumpkin/Watermelon laminate

Overall Green Pumkin for any conditions.

I have to ask a question of the group though, have you ever found a color that didn't work?

Fisherman... Most people usually go for the Watermelons, Pumpkins, and Black/Blues. This is obviously anecdotal so it may be different for others but according to most fisherman I know, they rarely use it compared to the colors I listed above.

I see your point.

'Baby bass' is a very popular pattern among anglers (especially for flukes), but falls thru the cracks for stickworms.

That's why I jokingly asked if its popularity applies to bass or just fishermen  :)

Watermelon with red flakes

I don't do the stick bait hardly ever but of the ones I have tried I like the Sassy Sticks from the forum sponsor BizzBaits. These are the top 3 colors for me when I do use them in this order.
