Hi all!  I'm about to buy a bunch of jigs.  Haven't needed any in a couple years as I had a tackle box full.  Looking to see if there's a consensus on what the best jig is for $3.50 or less.  If no consensus that's fine, I still want to know everyone's favorite!  Thanks!

I don't care that they are a sponsor, and I fished Seibert before I joined here.  I would say that his jigs are the best at any price.  I fish setups that are very spendy and if I thought there was a better product I would get those.  His jis are top knotch and very well priced, it also helps he is a good dude and has great service.  I don't get paid and I am not on his pro staff, wish I was

A fourth vote for Seibert. You can't go wrong.

Just another option. Buy the jig heads painted (Siebert sells them like that too) and tie your own skirts. Your cost per jig will be less than two bucks.

Booyah boo jig with removable rattle - you can get them for under 3 bucks depending on where you look.  

A guy that lives in Ky. makes some that are about 2.50 that I use. I like them and can’t beat the price. Call T-Rex. 

 

Used one from netbait that I really liked but they stopped making it. It was Hardy Craw color. I may see if someone can match the color and make them for me. 

I love Siebert jigs when fishing for my river smallies. The Sniper finesse jig, to be exact, in a variety of colors and the 3/16 weight. 

Although to be fair, I add the wire tie for a little extra, so it tops $3.50.

You won't find a better quality product for the money than you will ordering from Siebert's. If you need a jig you can buy about anywhere, the Booyah jigs are nice too.

the best timber bashing jigs have vertical eyes that are recessed in the lead so they pull through anything. I haven't had to buy them for a few season b/c I stocked up but look at Boss Swim Jigs.  I have no doubt @Siebert Outdoors has something similar and would price match.  $1.50-1.75 per head and add ur own skirt and you're off to the races.

So the picture on the website looks way more like green pumpkin where the picture above looks much more yellow.   Which picture is more realistic?

They're both accurate -- it depends on lighting. The "yellow" strands are whiskey, I think, which brightens up in sunlight, but looks more green in dim light. So in bright conditions it looks more like the one above, and in lower light, it looks more like the one on the Siebert site.

The "best" is subjective. What make one jig better then another?

Answer; the hook and the head design. The hook is the most essential component, the head design allows the angler to present the jig where the bass are located without snagging. Everything else is cosmetic and becomes a personal choice of colors and skirt materials and workmanship. High end hooks like Owner, Gamasatsu and Tonkar cost 10X more then inexpensive hooks, with jigs you get what you pay for so make sure you are getting premium hooks.

Another vote for Sieberts here! Great jigs and fogies(chatterbaits). Great colors too. Mike is an awesome person as well! Can't go wrong with Sieberts!

That is Sweet Craw.  Its one of my hottest selling colors.  It is a green pumpkin and whisky mix.  The head is a 3/8 Dredge Brush jig.

Hey Mike now that I'm finally working again I'll be getting with you in a few weeks or so to make an order. Gotta get some paychecks coming first. I've been aching to get some of your Shot Caller swim jigs and possibly a few other things. It feels good to be working again. ?
