NRA member?

Featured Replies

This is venturing very close to the political bit...

? I ain't getting into it ?

I've been a life member my adult life.

If every niche weirdo cult agenda group has an advocate / champion organization, I figure anything unique to Americans and their constitutionally guaranteed rights need one and support too. Not political, fact.

Life member here. Not sure when I joined. Sometime in the early 2000's

I am a long time member and will continue to be.

For as long as I can remember... and always will

No, Never been a member. I had a bb gun as a kid. Never held a gun since then. Nice hobby for those who like it I guess. Not interested. Sometimes they are a bit, 'over the top' though.

Coming from ca to AZ, I realize how important the organization really is.

D**n straight I'm a member.

Life member. Long time competitive shooter and avid hunter, especially birds. Organization is definitely not perfect but normally represents my interests well, just like the many conservation organizations I gladly support.

I was a member for years but got so sick and tired of all the calls and wanting more money that when my membership expired I didn't renew.  I may re-join sometime in the future but not for now.

Do they still bother you about re-joining?  They're bother me more to re-join than a used car salesman.  That's actually part of the reason I refuse to renew.  I want to do it on my own voluntary accord, not because they ruthlessly pestered me about re-joining.

They did for a while but the calls ended a few months ago.

I called their membership number and requested they stop with all the emails, junkmail and calls. That was several years ago and so far its been successful.

Not interested in the NRA. Gun owners of America. They're much more proactive in protecting the 2A and not pushovers.

Life member since 1956, 65 years now.

You had to have a hunting license for waterfowl on Federal reserves in California. I took a gun safety course  to get my jr hunting license and scored a Life Membership to the NRA who ran the program.

Been a life member since '74.

Never would think about it. I think they’re a disgusting organization.

I use to be a member -then they supported things I was diametrically opposed to...so cancelled my membership about 30 years ago.
