If you were using a crankbait rod for both crankbaits and jerkbaits what line would you use? I was initially thinking something like a 10lb fluorocarbon but after watching @Glenn's video on line selection I'm starting to wonder if the Berkley Fireline Ultra might be a better choice but not sure what pound test to go with (maybe stick to 10lb)?

I like to use 10 or 20 lb braid with moderate action rods for jerk baits & cranks usually with a mono/fluoro leader. 

I use 10 and 12 pound Yo-Zuri Hybrid

I use 12 pound Sufix Siege. I use the the same rod and reel for crankbaits and suspending jerkbaits.

10 yhb on avid 66mf with alphas.  Line sinks slow so I get good depth but does not drag down lure.  Tried 10lb floro but when it's cold it makes the lure sink to fast.

While I like the action I get with jerkbaits when using a braided main line, I have found that I straighten out more hooks on my jerkbaits when I used braid. 

 

And because of that, Sniper FC 12# gets my vote here.

12# floro.  Unless I am jerkbaiting with a spinning rod (which is a secret technique among Smallie fishermen) then it's 10lb mono.

12lb or 17lb Trilene 100% FC depending on how heavy the rod and crankbait are.   I am also starting to like 12lb Sunline Supernatural as well. 

The rod is a 7ft. M/M Abu Garcia Veritas Winch 2.0.

I don't like to use jerk baits on a moderate rod, but if I wanted to use both, I'd go with 10# mono, like Seaguar Rippin'.

Well, I do have a 7' MH/F Lightning Rod Shock, 6'6" MH/F Lightning Rod Shock and a 6'6" M/F Lightning Rod Shock that I could use for jerkbaits if one of those would be better?

Use 'em if you like them.  I like a shorter, x-fast rod, with a short rear grip for jerk baits.  It's really preference.  You'll find it split probably 60-40 fast to slower.

Medium Heavy or Medium?

*I* like medium/X-fast, but let the bait size determine the power.  I have a few bigger/heavier jerkbaits that need a med-heavy to throw, though they are more for pike.

Great! I think I'll try the 6'6" M/F rod with my Lews 6.4:1 reel and put on my Kastking White Max reel on my crankbait rod.

I use a 6’8” medium extra fast for jerkbaits and 12 pound copoly.
