It's official....heat was turned on in the house yesterday for the first time....fall is finally here.  Lake temp dropped ten degrees and the grass is now not growing so fast.  Yeah....fall has arrived.

I've had a couple fires, but haven't turned on the furnace, yet.

We turned ours on last night. It feels like we skipped fall this year and went straight from summer to winter.

I've had my heat on for 3 days now. Glad I didn't wait any longer try it. Found out the heat did not work. I had to replace a faulty control circuit board to get it working.

Temps were in the lower 40's over the weekend at night.  Window open,  fan on...heaven for me.

My early morning "warm gear" included wearing a tee shirt under my fishing shirt.

We haven't turned our heat on yet. Gonna try and milk this time between a/c and heat for as long as I can.......or until my wife says she's cold.

That is the true test of when to turn the furnace on. :D

We usually don't turn our heat on until December, at least. We like it

"cold" in our upstairs, for sleeping reasons. Keep the temp around 68,

in the summer, so if it drops, it's all good...until we have to wear layers

to sleep. :)

Same here.  Last Thurs the high was 89.  Today the high was 49 and the low tonight is 32.

we are in the middle of a cold spell. It was 31 degrees this morning. Kansas City Broke a  record last night for earliest recorded snowfall. .

hoping it gets over soon.

I went fishing  today anyway. I wanted to try out my new cold weather fishing gloves. there was still ice on my truck when I launched the boat.

surprisingly I caught a dozen fish. nothing big, but better than I expected.

Yeah, our heat is on

28°LORealFeel® 26°Precipitation 1%

Mainly clear; cold; there will be a freeze

This "spring" we went straight from winter to summer. It was literally snowing one week in April, then 90's the next week. We had temps in the 90's and high 80's as recently as last week, now it's snowed yesterday and we've had freezes two nights in a row. Those hot days are a distant memory.

I'm an Oklahoma transplant and even I know Oklahoma does not have a fall season. Brrrrr...

Been a strange year........

It's in the sixties here... Jacket time lol

All sixties means to me is I am not sweating just walking outside to the car.  Shorts and t-shirt still for me...love it.

Not really much cold weather, was high of 65 today. We did turn the heater on the other night just to make sure it did work when we really needed it.

  • 3 weeks later...

Well, it's happened. The wife is complaining that it's cold in the house. I predict the heat coming on at some point this weekend. She's turned on the gas logs a couple of times as a hint.
