I think that's our total for the year So far. By now we should have 40-50 inches.  My snow puppy is no more, he's been softened by my wife. These guys as you probably know are built for mountai

  • And of course, there's always this little issue.

Not quite as bad down @A-Jay here but still ridiculous. It may not feel like it but we’re one day closer to warmer weather. I’m not sure how many days, but we’re one day closer. ?

I wish you guys in the Midwest would keep your cold air and snow. Yesterday we got 16" snow and we woke up to frigid temps.

ENOUGH ALREADY, IT'S MARCH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

@Jigfishn10 just got back from a trip to Florida and even managed to get some fishing in, then comes on here wanting sympathy from us frozen northerners because he got a light dusting of snow. ?

That's the way to do it ~  @Jigfishn10

However, I am Certain I've earned ZERO sympathies after a few of the Mexican Adventure posts of the past.

Oh Well . . . . .

Read the news and saw that many Northern states are still getting lots of snow, freezing temperatures, and lots of lakes are still frozen. It is already March, by now it should be warmer than it is now but it seems to be a longer than usual winter for many northern states.

Yeah @12poundbass, we had single digits this morning too. I'm sure @A-Jay is firing up that violin for me right now as we speak...:D

Seriously, I do hope we start getting some more seasonal temps soon.

We're minus -15 this morning - no wind though so that's a plus.

Even have some sunshine -

Trying to stay positive here . . .

At some point, there's going to be a serious flood once all this snow starts melting off -

I'm expecting to have to use the Old Town for the first several trips as I can get creative with the 'launching'.

I foresee me sliding the whole rig down a snow-covered ramp to fish the hopefully by then, open water.

Good Times.

Single digits, -5* wind chill, white out conditions for rush hour.  I'm about done with the season.

Just about everyone is, the sad part is this season has only been about 6 weeks old. I think we’re all getting impatient and grumpy in our old age in regards to winter.

It does seem to start later, though we had a nasty storm in November.

They showed a recap of our winter this year for West Michigan last week on the news.....from November 1st to January 18th we received I believe it was 7” of snow. From January 19th to last week it was around 2-3’ I don’t remember the exact amount but it was pretty substantial for that short about of time.

The other wicked Bummer about the whole deal is that the foolish oak trees never dropped their leaves until after we already had 1 foot of snow.

So although it's out on sight now, there a nice big fat soggy mess waiting for me under all this white mess.

And that my friends can really slice into the early season fishing time if I let it. . .

Up until Monday we were holding a record for the least amount of snow fall for the season. 16.7" will dash that record away.

I actually don't care about the snow as much as I really, really hate single digit temps. I'm good from about 20* and greater. Winter in March just plain stinks.

We used to have some oak trees and they were a pain, because they always held their leaves forever unless we go a good late fall wind storm.

It it always seems no matter how on top of the leaf game you are there’s always like you said a fat soggy mess of leaves come spring.

Last year i was fishing March 10th and the year before on March 5th. Got my fingers crossed I'll be on the water sometime before Thanksgiving.

Looks like South Florida is having a little cold front today. It was in the low 50's early this morning and it is now in the mid 50's. Nice weather for running and soon it will be back in the mid 80's. Might do some saltwater fishing this weekend for snook and tarpon if the weather is nice.
