What line do u prefer mono,braid,flouro,or co p?

12 or 14 lb mono

I prefer fluoro because it allows the bait to maintain a nose down attitude on the pause. I feel that is a plus in colder water temps.  When I"m using a floater, mono is my choice. I really don't know if it makes a difference, but it's what I have confidence in.

I prefer braid. There is considerable amount of stretch in mono and fluoro lines. When I jerk the rod, I want all the action I impart to transfer to the bait and not be absorbed by the stretch of the line.

Generally fluorocarbon but in the summer sometimes I throw a floater and will use mono.

Fluorocarbon from 8-12 lb

I fish jerks on spinning. GLX 852s with 2500 Stradic fk with 20lb Smackdown and 8lb Blue Label leader, works great

I love Gliss for jerkbaits on spinning rods for this reason.....jerk control...and castability 

I'm lucky enough to live around some of the best stickbait fisherman on the planet. I would say it's about a dead heat between mono and flouro.

 A lot of guys go with 8lb. as long as the water is cold and they are sluggish and up to 10 when they get more feisty.

I prefer braid, but I use braid for everything.  I use it for the no stretch, and fishing from a kayak it helps.

I use 14 lb Fireline Crystal and a short, foot to foot and a half fluorocarbon leader.  I prefer spinning gear to throw jerk baits.

For ice out smallies I use 8lb Silver Thread and I have a second rod ready with 10 to float the bait a closer to the surface-all on spinning equipment. 

Mono

8#-12# fluoro depending on specific bait, usually the lighter two tests.

10 lb invisx

I use a 6-6 med fast casting rod so 10# flouro for me. mono has way to much stretch. But if you are using a heaver rod with the smaller 110 size baits (maybe there's bigger bass where you live) the stretch from the mono will counter act the heaver rod and won't pull hooks out. My set up handles 5-6 lbs smallies no problem.
