Bibs storage

Featured Replies

How is the best way to store fishing gear such as bibs and a jacket on yout boat? Do you just put in the storage locker by themselves or would you put them in a bag on the boat? Thanks for all input.

I use a 'gear bag' - that stays in the boat.

Its a fairly large heavy deal with a single stout zipper that runs the entire length (top) and a couple of handles.

It holds any & all rain gear, (jacket & bibbs) a couple of extra wind breakers and vest as well as a towel & a change of clothes (suitable for the season).

Also keep a smaller bag in the gear bag that contains smaller items making them easier to find & retrieve -

Items include, warm hats & gloves, sun buffs & sun gloves.

Gear gets cleaned when it needs it and at the end of the season, then return it to the gear bag - ready to roll for the next year.

Not this exact item but something very similar

I use an old hunting backpack. Of course if I get rained on it gets hung up until it's dry then back in the backpack. I don't have 1/10 the storage in my jon that A-Jay has in his monster Lund.?

Very true and if I had twice the storage I'd fill it quickly.

I have my raingear hanging by the boat or laying across and put in the day I fish.  I don't care for the "off smell" that it can get.  I do wash it too....it just seems to pick up a smell....probably me!!!

But I do have a compartment for rain gear and all extra's....

Rain gear specifically get put in 2  gallon zip lock freezer bags.  That bag gets put in a larger northface waterproof travel bag that contains extra layers. They never go back in wet

Since I fish catch & release 100% of the time, my livewell makes an adequate clothing storage location in my small boat.

I keep mine in the battery compartment in a waterproof bag that i bought from Cabela’s several years ago.

I got a Field and Stream wader bag to do this, I can fit my boots in it too.  I got it for like $20.

These are also very good and being able to see the contents have helped me out a few times

When I bought my Cabelas Guide Wear, it came with a storage bag.  Same thing with the Frogg Toggs that are my summer rain gear.  The advice about never putting stuff away wet or even damp, is right on.

I have a bunch of those I use when Kayak Camping.  Never thought to use them in the bass boat.

Duh!
