Pretty neat to see him going to an aluminum boat. I am a big fan of aluminum boats and while this seems like it might be a sales pitch in a way, I think it will be cool to see him out there fishing the tin. I also like how he says $30-$40,000 like that's chump change lol.

Very cool to see more pros going this route.  Pretty crazy that these "cheaper" options will still cost you $40K+ though.

I can tell you from personal experience, a come-along and a friend come in handy getting over fallen trees when navigating creeks in my Xpress, lol.

Saw that one! That was on the Calcasieu River in southwest Louisiana.

I like aluminum boats. From time to time I think about buying a custom jet boat and learning to jump rocks in the upper James.

 

Forget the usual jon boat spec of naked .1" or .125" aluminum.

Put a Mud Buddy motor on a good tin boat and you can go just about anywhere.

 

 

I prefer tin boats but I don't see them being used by the majority of pro's because the glass boat industry has too big of foot hold and a lot to lose. 

I like a good tin boat,been running one the last 15 years and ain’t never going back to fiberglass if I can help it.

This is kind of what I have for shallow water. Exponentially cheaper and better for all around conditions than anything with the word jet in it

Heck no , my entire motor and long tail kit was $800. I've ran the rapids for a decade and it's still good to go. New motor would be $300 -$350 from harbor freight if need be. People have been running these kits in Thailand for a long time. No need to spend more unless it's your prerogative

They can in price tag ! 

we are trying to catch smallmouth in shallow rivers and keep the price of the boat under the price of the tow vehicle. I don't catch fish in 2 inch mud flats and don't need to throw mud into the air.

Ok, if it comes down the craziness in this video, my back would give out along with my knees before I even cast a line.
