Just another  Day at the local elementary school. Some squirrels had fallen out of a drop tile ceiling and kept jumping at the window so I put traps right there and they walked right in, probably out of exhaustion more than anything62-DDFA86-9-F42-417-F-A169-C75-DF67-E2-B

Little dude was like "please, get me tf outta here!"

Later on in November I am planning a project of Paiute deadfall for raccoon and 24 ga brass wire for squirrel snare. Snare on a leaned up 3-4” diameter log. I hunt the same area yearly and I am familiar with trees and area they are always on the ground.  I’ll be living in the woods there for near a week. I can’t see the deadfall working for squirrel as I am only baiting both with what the area provides. Minnows or bluegill for the big deadfall and acorn or hickory but perhaps a persimmon can still be had as they are in the area.

thoughts or advice?

?

Raccoons eat persimmons like crazy, the seeds are always in their droppings. Maybe use a smaller rock to bust a Hickory for the squirrel but I always catch them with seeds

I catch them with .177 cal lead pellet treats.
