Hey all, what a great site. Been reading content for weeks and decided it was just time to join. 

 

Started fishing as as a young kid, dad would take me every week. Through high school and college didn’t do much fishing, but getting to my mid 30s i got back into it and in a big way. Bought a new house couple years back right next to a small pond and from there the passion was reignited. Actually talked my wife into letting me buy my first boat this winter. Father in law and I have been working on it all winter and I can’t wait to get it into the water! 

 

Everyday im cruising for new deals, watching fishing shows on tv and the wife says I have a problem, this site seemed like the closest thing to FA (fishers anonymous) so here I am!!

No! Please! Not the dreaded Pink Rods!!!! No self respecting outdoor woman I know would be seen within a hundred miles of those. Show her a beautiful bass instead...

Thanks all! And for the record, my wife doesn’t care what color the rod is or has any interest in seeing a bass and I’m ok with that as long as she lets me use my new to me boat a lot this year with minimal grief given for time spent away. 

 

My thought is: go fishing for the day, stop to get some flowers on the way home hahaha!!

My wife gave up many years ago and lets me do what I want for my bass fishing exploits.

 

She even supported me in getting three large metal cabinets for the garage to put all of my baits and tackle.

 

She has stopped complaining about all the rods and reels I have, too.

 

So there is nothing wrong with you that another rod and reel can't fix.
