To divide or not divide

My livewell has a divider.  Its simply a piece of plastic that fits into slots and divides the livewell in half.  I very rarely use my livewell because rarely harvest any fish and I don't fish in competition so I have always just left it in there.  Which has me wondering, do you leave your divider in there and why?

If you don't use your livewell much, I would just leave it in there so it doesn't get lost.

I took my divider out because I use my live well for storage. If I go crappie fishing for some meat, I just take a cooler with ice.

I left mine in. I don't keep any fish but I will put some water in there so I can put them in it while getting everything ready for a picture. Sure does make them easier to grab and IMO causes them less stress while trying to grab them.

Me too.

Offering a bass that just fought for it's life,

time to recover in the livewell can provide a much better video or photo.

Fish always look bland and gassed out otherwise;

especially smallies.

Love it when they are all colored up.

Took mine out. Figured it was better for a big fish to have the whole live well to swim around in than half of it. Especially if you’re fishing a tournament and you’ve sacked up two limits.

This 5 seemed just fine

I took mine out. I don't fish tournaments and if in the rare event I did keep some fish they would have more room to move around. If you kept a very big catfish or some other large fish you would need to take it out anyway.

I took my divider out. Never has any fish in it, but it gets used a lot.

I get a kick out of this because it makes me think of my friends wife. She uses his live well when nature calls. Told my wife don't even think about it.

No divider, I usually have plugs in mine so it stays dry and use it for storage.  Even on the rare times I do use it for fish, I see no need in a divider, and mine has a large livewell..

I don't tournament fish anymore & don't do selfies unless she's over 8 #.

Ya better be fast with a camera cause she's going swimming quick.
