What's your favorite braided fishing line? I need a line for skipping jigs, and frogs.

I use Original Power Pro. 
It’s certainly not the smoothest, but for what I use braid for it’s what I want/need

Seaguar Smackdown. It has all the qualities you want.  It's a workhorse.

Always used Power Pro, no problems.

I like Power Pro Super Slick V2. I haven't used it in a long time because I had a spinning reel with 20lbs Power Pro that I put on my baitcaster and I bought 8lbs Berkley X-9 to try on my spinning reel. I haven't used it enough to give an honest opinion.

Super Slick is what I'll be changing all my braid to.  It's a lot quieter than normal Power Pro.

The braid has nothing to do with the line guides but to each their own I reckon.  I DO like the microwave guides on my spinning gear.  

I don't know if it is the ****, but I use Sufix 832 and I really like it. I really want to try Smackdown but I only buy in bulk and so far I haven't found it in bulk.

I like them all. Sufix 832, Original PowerPro and Slick 8, Smackdown, Tuftline, Spiderwire, YGK, some pricy JDM Monai line... and even some Chinese Seaknight S9, as long as you choose the right diameter and poundage for the job.  My current favorite is the Vicious No-fade Braid. It's a little pricy, but I believe it deserves more praise and popularity.  

I tried a few, original PP, super slick v1, j-braid x8 and Sufix 832 plus a few cheap brand. 832 is the best compromise of them all. J-braid is super soft super quiet but a lot of tip wrap, PP is not soft nor smooth and pretty loud. 832 is right in between.

Love the smoothness of Diawa J Braid 8, never had any issues with it use it on about15 rods...

Hate original Powerpro when it comes to my bass gear, very rough / coarse feeling going through the guides...

Im a fan of the smooth 8 strand dyneema type stuff...

I'm also a fan of Daiwa J 8.

what you mean by tip wrap?

It's hard not to like all braids compared to mono/fluoro, just because they don't have line memory.  

But I do like the good soft coated braids better than hard braid.

My last braid purchase was 300 yds of YGK Oddport for a surf reel. 

Kind of cool, it came on 3 connected and keyed-together 100-yd spools.

the braid wrap around guide mostly first and second guide. Happen a lot when windy or reel in too fast.

Up to 50lbs - Power Pro Maxcuatro

65lbs - 80lbs - Original Power Pro 

 

Maxcuatro has ridiculously thin diameter to strength ratio.  It's super limp and manageable too.
